Euphoria Loves Rawvolution

Euphoria is one of my favorite places to get real clean organic, Raw food. They have many great choices. My favorites are. Taco salad, Caf? salad, Macro bowl, Indonesian noodle, Pad Thai. I can go on. The chocolate cake is Killer. It is a must try. The staff is very friendly and nice. Especially Sri Welton. She is super and always in a good mood. (Must be the food she eats.) 2 points for being cute I highly recommend this place for great healthy food. I work right down the st. So this place works great for me. I was not a fan of going Vegan until I had lunch here. The Humus plate was unbelievably good, as were the Jalapeno poppers. It was all delicious and the chocolate desserts were a revelation. Or should I write- a Rawvelation. Looking forward to my next visit. ps- I thought the manager was really helpful in explaining to this vegan virgin the way the food is prepared. Pros: Desserts more

I'm coming back very soon! Food, staff and ambiance = 5 STAR! Eat here, you will love it! Brought my sister to have her first raw meal. It was so warm and cozy inside, wonderful artwork and candlelight during the day (on this rainy day). The server was extremely helpful in helping us pick a dish. I had a WONDERFUL chickpea miso soup with scallions and mushrooms, but the Szechwan noodle dish was unbelievably yummmy! Just a bit spicy and made from zucchini noodles. My sister was blown away with the Superfood Soup, with avo, cucumber and nori.. She raved all the home. When I walked in a very sweet, tall young women greeted me with a HUGE smile. I had never eaten there, she gently walked me through the entire menu until I was sure what I wanted. I had the Coconut Jerky Sandwich with Cashew Mayo and the cheesy broccoli. YUM! YUM YUM! For dessert I have a Mango Parfait, I almost fell over, so tasty. When I left I felt a lightness in my belly, satisfied and lots of energy. The music was also really nice groovy downtempo style. the crowd was very eclectic. Overall I was very impressed. While the owners of this awkwardly named eatery probably had high ideals opening a raw foods cafe and boutique on Main Street in Santa Monica, they have consistently missed the mark on service. Inexcusably slow service, poor attitude of staff and often totally clueless staff has been the norm. I have been here over a dozen times since they opened a few years ago and have seen them change their menu and layout several times, in an apparent attempt to gain more customers, who knows, but the staff working here act as if they don't really need a regular clientele to survive. Recently a staffer claimed they needed 10-15 minutes to prepare a simple smoothie beverage to go, claiming 'it's not fast food here'. I mentioned to her that I've prepared the drinks myself and its really just a matter of scoop, scoop, scoop (dry ingredients) then pour the pre-made nut milk and maybe a bit of fresh fruit in to the blender, press blend, wait 40 seconds, and you're done! She had no response to this. While the raw foods movement is important and growing, I'm surprised no one has really taken the ball and run with it in the way say, Urth cafe has done with healthy organic cooked food. The market is ripe for a smart entrepreneur to build a raw foods restaurant brand that combines Service with a quality Raw foods menu. This place is literally the coolest thing in the world. Tons of delicious, healthy food that makes you feel gooood. And smells like hippies inside (in the good way). I would order anything off of this menu with confidence. Yum!!! more

Tyring to give this place a chance, I went three times and each time, got bad service. Twice, the staff was rude. This rudeness is part of the service here - IN THE LA WEEKLY REVIEW,BEST OF LA, OCTOBER, 2007 THEY ALSO MENTIONED RUDE SERVICE SAYING, ""the staff tends toward the socially inept and sometimes just plain rude."" I go to a lot of raw food joints - Juliano's, Leaf, etc and I am always treated with respect. It seems that most of the staff here does not know the dishes they are serving and so they take a long time to explain the food and then serve it. I am a relaxed type but waiting 30 mins for gazpacho is a bit much. Another time, one of the managers had food removed from my salad plate because the server gave me ""too much food"". I am paying $20 for a large salad, I think I can get a full plate. She seemed less concerned that they had given me the wrong salad order as long as I did not get too much food. The kale was dry (I was told they forgot to put dressing on it that day) and the egg salad too soupy. I could maybe put up with bad service if there was good food but the inconsistency in the food is awful. Maybe once day, you get a good dish and another day, you do not. Plus, they are out of a lot of items on the menu. Bohemian is fine, but this place has now become unprofessional! What an amazing restaurant. My friend and I dine here regularly and have been 'raw' for about 6 months. It is the best and fittest I have been in 10 years and I have shed 20 pounds - yeah! I was going through some sleep issues and not only does this restaurant have unbelievable food but they have Nala and Sarah as alchemist to make your favourite tonic or something that will actually be of benefit to your body. I thank these girls for helping my insomnia problem disappear - I have a new love for KAVA and my sleepness nights are over! The food is to die for. We particularly like the Matt and Cheese (it absolutely tastes like a big mac!), the onion bread is amazing, all of the salads are great in particular the 'mock tuna' and the cakes are unbelievable. I have tried a few and they are all great and SO fresh. The carob haystacks and bliss centres are to die for.......While it is not at all expensive I wish I could go ever night, if I did then every night would be a happy meal.
