We cannot tell you how we appreciate your great service and your technician, Jim Brainard. Last night we had a frightening time when our carbon monoxide detector alarm went off around 9:00 PM. We panicked and decided to call Emerald because they had just installed a furnace for us in October 2015. We did not feel sick or anything so we did not feel it was cause to call 911. Jim was on a call but told us he would call us as soon as he was done and would come to the house. We unplugged the detector and it stopped. We called him back and told him not to bother coming but he said he would just stop by for peace of mind for us and himself. He checked the whole house with his detector and found no carbon monoxide. He was so courteous and refused to charge us, which we would have paid because we felt so relieved he came. We were also so thrilled when our furnace was installed , Jake was such a nice person. We also got to meet Marty and had some great conversations. We will always recommend Emerald to our friends and will always use them in the future. This company restores my faith in humanity. more

I have trusted Emerald for over ten years now. My first house was 60 years old and on three occasions, Emerald came to my home and, while I was expecting to be told that I needed a new furnace, Emerald always fixed the problem. They never tried to take advantage of me. Recently, in 2016, Emerald told me I needed a new furnace at my new house. Since my house was relatively new, I decided to get a second opinion. The technician from the other company asked me whole told me I needed a new furnace, and when I told him, his response was, "Emerald is a great company. They are honest and never try to rip anyone off. If they told you that your furnace needs to be replaced, then it does." Joe from Emerald is who I have dealt with on my last few occasions. He is a top-notch person, and Emerald is very lucky to have him. He is honest and helpful and considerate. I trust him implicitly. Emerald is the only place I will ever call in the future. more

After our tenant told us on Friday they had no heat, Jim came out within an hour of my call to make an assessment and called another co-worker for a second opinion. They had brought temporary heaters for the tenant to use over the cold weekend until the new boiler came in Tuesday. Marty, Jake and the crew came out to replace the old boiler system (23 years old!) and pipes for upstairs tenants. They were fantastic, diagnosing and executing every detail. They were clean, thorough, and explained everything they were doing. It was a huge job, took all day, but we are satisfied that everything was done that needed to be and our tenants needs were taken care of. Thank you! more

Darrell was so very helpful when we had a issue with our old tank on Friday and worked with us to get a new tank in first thing Saturday morning. Jim came to install our new tank and was very professional and worked quickly to get our new tank up and running. Jake & Steve did a fantastic job installing my new furnace. Not only were they experts on the installation, but they were very polite, patient, friendly and informative when explaining what they will b doing, how to program new thermostat, and so conscientious about neatness!! No exaggeration. Couldn't have asked for better, I really did get the best!!! So pleased!!! more

I have a maintenance contract with Emerald; I had scheduled a check-up for my furnace to take place on December 23rd. A short check-up became a 4 hour visit. A small crack was found on the heat exchange and a couple suspect areas that I got to see for myself with their nifty camera on the end of a snake used to view areas that are not externally visible. Darrell came over right away to provide a 2nd opinion and it was determined that I needed a new furnace. We went over my options for a new furnace. There was absolutely no pressure on what furnace to choose; only facts given and information provided to help me decide the best option for my circumstances. I was lucky this time because the external temperature was mild. But, the guys still dropped off two heaters for me in case my house got cold that evening. They were able to get their hands on the furnace I wanted and installed it the next morning on Christmas Eve! Everything was cleaned up and completed by 1pm by Steve and Jake. I must also mention that Emerald replaced my central air unit a year and a half ago and at that time I had a maintenance contract with a different company for years. I am usually very loyal but when I needed help and they did not respond to me because it was off hours; I found Emerald and I said that I know not having air in the summer isn't an emergency but could someone help me on a Sunday? They responded, "If it is important to you; it is important to us." They were there Sunday at the dinner hour. Emerald won me over. Service is extremely important to me and they win hands down; not to mention they are polite and pleasant and caring for your circumstance. more

Jake and Steve came today to install the Aprilaire Air Cleaner. They were both very professional about the work they were doing. Neither one hesitated to answer the many questions I asked. When the work was completed, they looked around to he sure that they had all their tools. Also to be sure that if anything was moved it was returned to its original spot. I would definitely have both Steve and Jake back to do more work for me. more

We were getting high carbon monoxide readings from our furnace room. Mark and Jake came in and replaced our furnace, boiler and created an outlet to vent the room to the outside, They also added 4 smoke detectors. They worked all day at our house and did an excellent job! They were professional, personal, and worked constantly and did the job right. Everything is much sturdier than what we previously had, And then they cleaned everything up! We would recommend Mark and Jake and Emerling to anyone. Nice job guys! more

We had an outstanding experience! Technician checked furnace, found the problem, and arranged for an estimate immediately. We felt the quoted price was fair. The installation went flawlessly. Steve, the technician, was professional and efficient. He explained every thing and walked us through the operation of the furnace as well as explained exactly what he did.
