I was born and raised in Havana, Cuba where I attended medical school. My family and I made the decision to come to the United States in pursuit of freedom and a better life in 2006. I never gave up on my calling to the medical field and was able to accomplish my goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. I have called Plantation home ever since and I’m extremely familiar with the community I serve. Spanish is my native language, but I am fluent in English as well. I decided to go into medicine because as a young girl my father had a terminal illness allowing me to witness firsthand the difference a provider can make in a patient and their families lives’. I have always wanted to help care for others since then.
