My husband & I decided that for a change of Mexican pace we'd try the new El Patron restaurant in Chardon. I mean let's face it, Taco Bell isn't the greatest quality and Don Pablo's is a good 25 minutes away. After picking up a menu at the restaurant, as they don't have the option of viewing it online, we decide to place an order to go. We both ordered the "Plato Gordo", mine was 4 taquitos (2 chicken & 2 beef), his was 1 beef enchilada, 1 beef burrito, & 2 beef taquitos. Since ordering was easy enough and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes, I thought we had found a great fix for our Mexican needs. Weelll....only sort of. Both entrées came with refried beans & rice on the side but there was a huge discrepancy in how much we each got for the $13 a piece price tag. His was more then enough & mine was just right but, I was banking on maybe having enough for lunch the next day and I was wrong to assume that. Overall, taste was great on both except for the chicken being a little bit overcooked inside the taquito. On a 1 to 10 scale I would rate them a solid 7.5.
