El Patron

I ordered takeout from El Patron. I ordered 4 tacos-2 chicken 2 beef, 2 orders of rice and beans to go with them. I also ordered mixed fajitas- which also come with rice and beans. I got all of my taco orders with the rice and beans but for my fajitas, I never received the tortillas or the lettuce, guacamole, and pico de gallo. I didn't even get my rice and beans. The tacos were soggy and were all broken apart when I got home( I only live 5 minutes from them). The food tasted TERRIBLE. Fajita meat was tough and had no flavor to it. Next time I'll go to Don Tequilla's. more

How good is the Margarities there at El Patrons? Do they have any day of the week with special deals on them? How much? Are big glasses? Thanks for any info. more

EL PATRON is the best Mexican food restaurant in the area. If you appreciate this style of food, you will love it! This place is always busy and the Margaritas are excellente. They have a full bar and offer very generous, fresh portions of food. One of my favorites is the Chicken Fajitas! There is so much food, you cannot eat it all after gorging yourself on the fantastic tortilla chips and SENSATIONAL salsa on the table! They offer hot sauces for all palettes--hot, hotter and fire! I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage all to enjoy it's great, quick service! I also think it is a great opportunity to brush up on speaking your Spanish language! We have a lot of fun there and you can never go wrong by chosing this place for a business meeting! more

My husband & I decided that for a change of Mexican pace we'd try the new El Patron restaurant in Chardon. I mean let's face it, Taco Bell isn't the greatest quality and Don Pablo's is a good 25 minutes away. After picking up a menu at the restaurant, as they don't have the option of viewing it online, we decide to place an order to go. We both ordered the "Plato Gordo", mine was 4 taquitos (2 chicken & 2 beef), his was 1 beef enchilada, 1 beef burrito, & 2 beef taquitos. Since ordering was easy enough and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes, I thought we had found a great fix for our Mexican needs. Weelll....only sort of. Both entrées came with refried beans & rice on the side but there was a huge discrepancy in how much we each got for the $13 a piece price tag. His was more then enough & mine was just right but, I was banking on maybe having enough for lunch the next day and I was wrong to assume that. Overall, taste was great on both except for the chicken being a little bit overcooked inside the taquito. On a 1 to 10 scale I would rate them a solid 7.5. more
