DISSATISFIED and quite saddened after taking our puppy Roobie. I had Roobie spayed the day before and she was doing great up until the night when we saw a ""little pocket"" form where the incision is on her belly, she was crying and I could tell was in pain. The moment I got to the clinic I was greeted and asked what the problem was, and right off the bat told, just to see the vet it is going to be $100 plus... I am aware that taking your pet to the after hours ER will cost, I am not against the charge however what I am against is once with the vet, she saw Roobie not even for 5 minutes and felt around her belly, confirmed she was in pain and said to me, ""well it could be a hernia but I really can't tell until we do x-rays. I will send the tech in to give you the quote"" The tech then came in, gave me a paper that had the vet visit, a pain injection, x-rays and wanted me to sign if I want this done, for $418 plus. Now I am starting to think that is not what I want for Roobie, send her away for x-rays, injections.... the sense of caring was NOT there, it seemed so robotic and no love for her at all, quite frankly a MONEY PIT. The following day I took her to her vet, I was told it was a ""seroma"", very common thing after surgery and was reassured it was not serious and take Roobie home and watch her very carefully, heat compressions 3x daily, antibiotics etc... I began research on what a seroma is and it is very common, in humans too, after surgeries...It just made me think that if it is so common, why did the ER vet not give me any indication that this MAY be what it is, instead it was x-rays, pain injection and let's see! I called and asked to speak with the manager and just received the call today... I still don't feel any better, the answer from the manager was ""we can't please everyone"", once I heard that, I was done. I will not go back unless it is an EXTREME circumstance, still SAD and VERY DISSATISFIED. more

I will forever be grateful to the staff here. My shamus was attacked and the fine people at animal emergency center saved her life! I don't even know where to begin with the gratefulness of the expertise, compassion, and skill you all have. Thank you so very much and keep up the great work! more

I've taken Vinny twice in the past two years for emergency issues and we were treated very very well. The Drs solved the health issues without a problem. Never hesitate to go there if your pet needs emergency attention. more

Thank you so much for taking care of Baby Chanel. We are extremely grateful for doing everything possible for her to recuperate. I knew immediately from our first brief meeting about her condition that you had a passion and competency about your profession that is rare nowadays. A few months ago I had to bring my dog in because she was really ill and our regular veterinarian had no idea what was wrong with her. The male doctor I saw and the staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. Yes it costs a little more to bring your pet in to an emergency facility, but if they didn't exist what would one do in the middle of the night? My vet certainly wasn't getting out of bed to help me!!!! Needless to say, my dog was finally diagnosed and after a few weeks of care she is back to her old self again. A BIG THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL STAFF AT ANIMAL EMERGENCY CENTER. more

Dr. Koplos was so wonderful with my little dog. Very gentle, and very thorough with his examination. My dog is now running around, and is so full of life, and I have Dr. Koplos to thank for that. Worth every penny! I highly recommend this emergency center. more
