El Jibarito is a great learning environment. You'd think all of the instructors were born with instruments in their hands. I just wanna say to El Jibarito that I LOVE YOU, you've given me a great musical experience and I wouldn't trade taking lessons there for the world! Virginia, you're a sweetheart and the warmest office manager in the world! You always made my visits so relaxing and enjoyable! Thanks for all the coffee, too! At the old place my girls took lessons at, I'd circle the block for a half hour or read in the car, but I look forward to coming in just so see what new and exciting things are happening in the studio and to chit chat with Virginia! Walter, you are without a doubt a man of great character and integrity and I admire your enduring strength, patience, and endurance during this trying time of false accusations against yourself. I took guitar lessons from el jibarito for 3 1/2 years of my life. I learned how to play guitar and read music. More importantly, I learned how to feel the music running through my soul like a wave of electricity. Now I compose music and play stairway to heaven like a champ. More importantly, I met some great friends along this road. You know, as us musicians say, ""Keep the tempo and never let that soul go!"" I would never trade in my life for another experience. \r \r Ps. they also have a soda machine box where you can buy soda for one low price! And relax!!! If you have kids who no nothing about music except that they've got a passion for it, look no further than El Jibarito Music Studio. The instructors are phenomenal! I wouldn't take my own children there if that weren't the case. I love the atmosphere - it is fun and friendly. Best of all, I'm invited to sit in on a lesson any time I want! After hearing the unfair allegations brough against the owner, Walter Rivera, I was not only shocked, but appalled. I've known Walter and the Rivera family for three years now; ever since my sons Alex and Anthony have taken lessons there. There has never been a time when I've questioned Mr. Rivera, or his work ethic. As far back as three years ago I can remember always being invited to sit in on my children's lessons or watch from the plexi-glass windows that are cut in to every door. There is not even an opportunity for something fishy to go on in such a kid-safe environment. It's a shame how the media can get wind of a false rumor and amplify it to such a point that they make it seem one hundred percent true. All I have to say is that it's a real shame. But I don't buy in to the hype. I know quality when I see it and I know authenticity when I see it. I admire Walter and the Rivera family for standing strong during this time. Walter's got nothing to hide and he's open about it. I respect him for that. My kids will continue taking lessons at El Jibarito Music Studio until the last penny is emptied out of my wallet. Not that them taking lessons would ever cause that because heavens knows the lessons are affordable! My household works on a budget and if I can afford it, anyone can! Trust me on that one. In short, if you're looking to put your kids into music lessons, this is your best bet. There's no other place I know of that could even come close to comparing. There is no doubt that El Jibarito Music Studio is the best in town. The environment is fun and family-friendly and the instructors couldn't be better. I have had the opportunity to work with both a guitar instructor and a piano instructor and both have instilled in me a love of music that I did not have when I started out. The owner, Walter Rivera, is one of the most open, genuine, and down-to-Earth people that walks the face of this planet. His love for music is absolutely contagious! It's impossible to know Walter and not know what his one true love is: guitar. Because of his passion, he has on his staff instructors with the same fire that he has for music. There aren't many people in this world I'd attest to but Walter Rivera is one of them. I'm the typical soccer mom. Three kids and no time. There's not much that my kids do that gets by me. With their busy schedules and mine, El Jibarito Music Studio makes it easy for my kids to still enjoy the gift of music. But I wouldn't just send my kids to any place. No, I had to check it out for myself first. I made an appointment to go survey the place, and was warmly greeted by Virginia, the studio's owner and a mom herself with three kids of her own. She understood my situation and schedule constraints and helped me to schedule my kids at a time that was flexible and convenient for me. After she offered me some coffee, she personally took me through the studio on a guided tour. There were windows on every door, and no locks on any of them. This made me feel very comfortable. We even got to check in on a class underway, where a five year was playing the drums better than most musicians that I know. It was cute to see the sticks flying up in there and not see who was playing. Everything was perfect, even when it came down to billing. I discussed my financial concerns with her and Virginia made it easy and delightful to arrange a payment plan. My kids could hardly wait for their first lesson and when it came, El Jibarito Music Studio did not disappoint. My kids still get excited every Tuesday to see their favorite teachers. In just two weeks, my kids were already playing songs. I was amazed at how quick their progress was and how I couldn't get them to stop practicing! El Jibarito made my job easy! To this day, I've never once had to push them to practice and I enjoy going to their yearly recitals. I can't wait for this year's upcoming Christmas recital. If you want to see talent, come and get a loud of these kids! And if you want your kids to be like mine, enroll them in El Jibarito music studio. You won't be disappointed. Rock n roll is my life. At this studio, I have learned to get away from just Green Day and move on to harder stuff like Van Halen. I love getting up on stage every year at their recital and rockin' out with other musicians. At this rate, I'll be a rock star by next week! You could be a rock star, too. Built on there back, El jibarito Music Studio is one of the most professional and down to earth music studios i have even taken my children to. The instructors are very down to earth and there methods of teaching are inspiring. I had heard about recent uproae about the buisness but from first hand experince learned, it was completly false. I found everyone at the establishment completly professional, while maintaining a friendly attitude. I would recommend this buisness for anyone looking for a top quality lessons in music. more

All the teachers at the Jibarito Music Studio are friendly and stick to El Jibarito Music Studios open door policy. I have taken my children here for 6 years and i have allways been welcome to sit in on all of my childrens classes. Also there are no doors in the studio where i can't see my children, which makes for a very safe learning enviornment.\r \r El Jibarito has allways been a family owned and operated facility with Mr. and Mrs. rivera at the helm and there 3 lovely children allways in attendence. Didn't this guy - Walter Rivera the owner and guitar instructor at this place get arrested and booked on 10 counts of lewd acts with a victem under the age of 14 on May 18, 2006.
