Eddie's Aquarium Centre

I was given my first tank as a gift a year ago and didn't know the first thing about the hobby so I visited all of the local shops for information and to decide where the best livestock could be found. I also have a PhD in environmental biology so I know when someone doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to water chemistry and natural systems. Bottom line is that hands down the staff at Eddie's are the best. They won't sell you a fish or coral that doesn't belong in your system and they explain to you why. And that review about the filter system being one large common system is totally bogus, Matt or Gina will be happy to explain their system and their husbandry practices to ensure you get the healthiest livestock available in the area. this store is very clean and the animals healthy. the staff consist of seasoned hobbyist and some young learners. The selection consist of freshwater fish, saltwater fish, reef and garden pond. When the staff person couldn't answer my question a senior staffer came on the scene and gave some very use full information. Prices are competitive. Large display area, nice ambiance. They are not using a central filter system the review is wrong each tank is filtered on their own the person that wrote the last review never asked that question or asked to see the filter system they are a great store and I would highly recomend them Pros: great store and quality of fish very clean tanks Cons: waitng line more

Eddie's has a large, beautiful location with many choices available. They also have some of the best water garden selections in the area. The store always looks clean and neat. However, the staff seems to be poorly trained in both aquarium knowledge and customer service. They seem more eager to make money than make sure a customer is getting what's right for their setup. Also, ever since they moved, their fish have been on a central filtration system, so disease is pretty rampant. Pros: Selection, Ambience, Parking Cons: Service, quality more
