Dave's show is simply the best. Even if you're not a fan, the experience of seeing the show is really fun. Paul Schaffer's orchestra is phenomenal; it's worth it just to hear them play during commercials. Studio is a bit cold- bring a jacket. Pros: awesome guests, runs on time, great band Cons: cold, tix. sorta hard more

A real theater, not a TV studio 6/26/2002

I've seen a bunch of TV tapings and the Late Show is the best by far -- in terms of being in the audience. The cameras are almost unobtrusive, unless you're sitting right down in front. And the taping rolls at virtual real time -- it's not as if you're sitting there for hours to tape a one-hour show. Getting tickets is tough, but it's worth the hassle. Pros: Historic theater Cons: Hard to get tickets more
