Read the release form if you have microdermabrasion. 3/8/2007

I wanted to get a facial to start off my birthday weekend with a relaxing treatment. I had a 4:30 appointment, called because I was running 5 minutes behind. I arrived at 4:35 and didn't enter the room until 4:45. I didn't mind the wait...I needed to relax anyways. While she was washing my face during the facial, I mentioned to her that i needed some extraction around my lips and chin. She mentioned microdermabrasion (a term i know, but am not familiar with). She explained that it was exfoliation of my face and it doesn't hurt. After washing my face, she started the microdermabrasion. It wasn't comfortable, felt like a cat scratching my face and I asked her if my face would be red, she said for only an hour or so. That took a long time, I would say 20-25 minutes. After that, my face was burning and very dry. She put some lotion on my face and that was it. There was no massage involved (like the description says online) and she was very rough. It was not at all relaxing. After I got dressed, she came back into the room and showed me the release form so I could know what to expect the next few days. If I would have read that before the treatment, I would have never done it. And my symptons were much worse. My face was burning and red for 3 days. On the 3rd day, my face peeled and was very dry. She never mentioned this would happen and I was very dissappointed in the service. It took over a week for my face to be back to normal (not dry and peeling). I have spoke with others that have had this treatment done and they have never experienced this. From entering the spa to walking out, it was one hour. I have had many facials and I really felt taken advantage of at this spa and will never return. Pros: location, parking, aveda products Cons: service, cluttered, small, noisy more

Best Manicure & Pedicure Ever! 10/29/2006

I have been in Plano for over 10 years, and finally found the absolute BEST place to get my nails and feet pampered. Several ladies in my bridge club have told me about this place for months, but I did not want to change from the girl who was doing my nails and toes. So for my birthday, they gave me a gift card to visit. I tried for 2 weeks to get in, but this could not get an appointment. I requested to be put on her waiting list. Two days later, received a call from Mindy, (BEST of the BEST EVER!) the manicurist, while she apologized for not getting me in sooner, had a cancellation for the following afternoon. I graciously accepted this opportunity to see what my girlfriends were raving about. When I arrived, the store was aflutter with people. The receptionist was a little short with me, but did take me into "The Spa" in the back of the store. What a difference of atmosphere. Soft music, dark wood floors, earth tone paint (needs refreshing) and ladies sitting there like they were friends forever. I was introduced to Mindy, who immediately offered refreshments. (Excellent choice of coffee and teas). While I had to wait about 10 minutes, I never noticed, as I was treated like one of the family! Talk about a "clean freak", Mindy is the "Mrs. Clean" of clean. She even had the new style of pedicure chair that does NOT breed disease. Mindy took the time to explain the advantages of this fancy hospital grade UV spa chair system. I was so pleased with the extreme level of professionalism, the excellent quality and attention to detail of Mindy's work, that I now have a standing appointment with her! In closing, if you can find the time to visit this wonderful establishment and meet Mindy, you will agree that you have found someone who will go out of her way to make sure you have been pampered and return time and again! Pros: Excellent service. The BEST manicure and Pedicure ever! Cons: That there is only one Mindy! more

Nice quiet enviroment for peaceful relaxation 9/17/2006

I admit I felt a little strange about going into the Vichy shower, but after a few minutes it was very relaxing. The enviroment was peaceful and serene. This place is great for a day getaway without traveling to far. more

Unexpected 1/30/2006

I wanted to try this establishment out for a long time. They have very good prices and advertise quite a bit. I booked a mini-facial, 60 minute massage, an eyebrow wax, and a lip wax. Communication is nonexistant in this business. I was the only person waiting for a service but I was asked what appointments I had and if I had a gift card several times by the same people. I accidentally got a full facial and my eyelids developed a severe rash after my brow wax. My massage therapist did not drape as much as I would like. I had high hopes for the place but, I must have caught them on an off day. Pros: Inexpensive, Mini Facials, Good Products Cons: Communication, No Credit Cards, Uncomfortable more

Just...wow 11/18/2004

Since I am new to the area, I used citysearch.com. Eco Salon & Spa came up and not only were they highly ranked, they had a very useful web site. If a company wants my business, they need a web site with lots of good content. Then, I saw Boutros, who did amazing work giving me a new look. I love the giant marine aquariums and the staff is great. That was two months ago. I have a second appointment this weekend! Pros: quality work, pleasant staff, relaxing atmosphere more
