The team reported on time. Did a great job and cleaned up very well after the job was complete! Will use your services again !

Working with this company was one of the more bizarre experiences we've had with home services/contractors. My first communication with them was fine. The arborist who came out to...

Great job 10/11/2012

Two large firs trees to remove. All was done perfect with a very professional crew. From the arborist to the crew. Thank you more

Great job 10/10/2012

Great crew. Worked together real well called to let us know when they would be here. Did a real great job. Awesome to watch them more

very happy with crew and work done 10/8/2012

Six men showed up with a lot of equipment and like a well oiled machine all was taken care of including cleanup within an hour or so. Would recommend and will call them again. more

Great results! 9/26/2012

Very happy from start to finish! From initial contact person,to arborist to the great work done! Friendly, well priced and easy. Even a followup call to check if we were happy, which we were for sure! more

Great team, excellent service - worked their tails off in a rainstorm! 8/9/2012

Arborist was very helpful and knowledgeable. The guys that came to do the tree works were terrific. We had a large and complicated job, about a dozen trees, some insanely tall. The climbers were WAY up in my Doug Firs and Maples and worked right through a rainstorm. In spite of the terrible conditions and very tall trees and enormous limbs that were being trimmed, our landscaping was in amazingly good shape afterward. We sincerely appreciate the care everyone took with our plants on the ground. Very impressive customer service too. more

Fabulous job! 7/26/2012

I had two 90ft mature polars removed by Eastside Tree Works. These were dangerous poplars next to a deck, the house, and a fence. This required precision cutting to bring down the limbs and rounds in precisely the right locations. The guys were very professional and obviously knew what they were doing. It was pretty scary to watch, but everything turned out as planned. They had the trees down on Thursday. Had all the wood removed by the weekend, and had the stump grinder in on Monday. It all went like clockwork. They kept me informed every step of the way, and did exactly what they said they would do. I have two more poplars I will take out next year, and Eastside will have my business. I also carefully checked credentials. Fully insured and licensed according to King Cty records. more

Great job 7/26/2012

The aborist Kurt explained the difference between windsail and structure prune. This was great information, no other company even mention this or to take the time to explain it.The job was outstanding. The crew was professional, and considerate of my plants. You can be a sure of excellent service, work and doing what they say will be done. Thank you so much more

Super job! 5/1/2012

I was so impressed with this entire process from being approached by your salesman, David J. who told me about Eastside Tree Works and what they could do for me, to Chad, the Aborist, who gave me excellent advice on what my options were and to the 4 men who came and took down 6 dead cottonwood trees. They did a super job! I asked that one tree be cut a little lower down to be hid by the vegetation and they could not have been more accomodating. They, too, wanted to leave a nice habitat and they did. They were only here 1 1/2 hour and the entire process was done and cleaned up. What I had dreaded turned into a fantastic experience. more

Poor customer service, incomplete work 4/28/2012

If there was a less than 1 star option, I would pick it! My first clue should have been that the company had one of the "arborist" going door to door soliciting business because "we were in the neighborhood". This was on 6/7/2011. I actually did have work I wanted done, so we walked around the yard, me showing him EXACTLY what I wanted done, him writing up the estimate on paper. I was concerned about a crew coming when I wasn't around, because I wanted to make sure what I wanted done was actually done. I was assured I didn't need to be home, that it was all written down. The crew eventually shows up on a day when I was gone, does about 1/4th of what they were supposed to do. Does not clean up properly, throws some limbs and debris over my fence instead of cleaning up properly. Cuts down a cypress and another bush leaving the stumps when I was understanding the whole plant would be removed, not just cut down. Now nothing can be planted there unless I have the stumps removed myself. My estimate clearly says "remove cypress, remove bush". I am thinking they are coming to finish the job since it was only partially done. But I get another invoice that my payment is past due. I call the office, explain it all to the woman that answers the phones. She say's she will look into it and have someone call me. Months go by, finally the same arborist comes again to my house, after dark on 12/21/2011 to look at the work done. He agrees that only part of the work was done, fills out another paper and says a crew will come out the following week. On my paper it clearly says to call first and I want to be home!! Months pass, no one comes. In April I get a call from the woman in the office saying my bill is past due! All I could say was "this is getting comical". She seemed to not have a copy of the last write up done by the arborist back on 12/21/2011. She said she will get back to me. I again said that I would not be paying my bill until the work was completed. A couple days later, no phone calls, no communication....just a "revised bill" for half the agreed upon amount. So this is how this company does business. They come knocking on your door, don't tell you when the work will be done, do a partial job, leave a mess, then expect full payment. Then say they will come back to make it right, and never do! Then instead of fixing the issue, and completing the work they "call it good" by sending you a new bill without so much as a discussion? Can someone give this company a class on customer service? I've read all the other reviews today, just wish I would have read them before hiring this company. Lesson learned to not go with a company that solicits work door to door. If the company had truly made changes regarding communication as stated by the manager in his responses on 4/18/ 2012 to Marisa and Jeanne I should not be having this problem. Beware and find yourself another company! more

Great Job Men 4/16/2012

March 13, 2012 Eastside Tree Works dropped two huge trees and cut into fireplace size logs and windsailed threes other trees. The branches were all hauled out by hand and put into a shredder and disposed as mulch leaving a wonderful clean up job. The men worked as a real team. Each knew what their job was. Ross Kidd was a wonderful salesman and so very efficent, marking each tree to be taken care of with instructions on each. If and when I have more tree work to be done I would call on them to do it. With other estimates, I felt that theirs was the most reasonable. Thank you Eastside Tree Works for a job well done. Sincerely, Wauneta Eastman more

Extremely pleased! 4/9/2012

I had quite a bit of work done including the removal of a rotting tree. The job was done flawlessly. The crew was courteous, very hard working and they left my yard clean of any debris. I am very pleased! more

Incomplete job 3/29/2012

I had a similar experience to one other reviewer. The assessor who gave me the quote was fantastic. Seemed very knowledgeable, and offered me a discount as they had a team in the area. He wrote up the work they would do, and it looked good. The team came out on a different day than I was informed they would, and did a simple structural prune. They did no one of the tree health work that I have been told by the assessor needed to be done, and have been quoted for. When I called and asked when they were coming out to finish the job, I was told they would sort it out. The next communication I had from them asked why had I not paid their bill. When I explained I was waiting for the work to be finished the girl asked if the owner could call me back. When he did he explained that I had got a great discount, and they did a really good structural prune. I explained that was not what I was quoted for. He was not prepared to send anyone out to complete the work quoted, even though his assessor told me that if it was not done the trees would die. He offered a small discount. Eventually I just got sick of talking to him and agreed to pay the reduced amount. Now I am in the market for someone who is prepared to do the work needed. Dont go near these guys. I understand that not all of their team can be as good as the assessors. But not being prepared to complete the work quoted is not good enough. Money down the drain. more

They did great. Excellent experience. 3/26/2012

Eastside Tree Works was on time. They carefully choose each thing that they were to do for the property before hand, and prepared it for the crew. They crew did exactly what they said they would do and cleaned up after themselves. They came at 8:30am and were done by 12:30pm. more

Personable, prefessional and efficient. 3/9/2012

The initial review of the requirements for our job was performed with expertise. The all- English-speaking crew that arrived were professional in appearance and behavior. They were friendy and flexible about last minute changes to desired work. They worked like the proverbial "well-oiled machine" and not a word of profanity was spoken. The clean-up was exceptionally thorough. more

Efficient and Professional, Above average services 11/21/2011

I confirmed the job with the company's Aborist on Friday, owner called on Sun to schedule work on the next day, Monday. 2 crews came half an hour early than they planned to. 9 people worked on my front yard and back yard for about an hour. Cole, the Floor Manager kept me well informed with good suggestions on ways to prune my trees. Crews finished their work and clean properly in an hour. Happy with the work and impressed with their effiency. Paid about $100 per person an hour in average plus tax (including workers who cleaned the site and stump grinding). Stump was ground in about 2 weeks later. I got what I paid for. Overall satisfactory experience with the company. more

we are overjoyed with the work this crew performed. 10/10/2011

This crew was knowledgeable, professional, careful and fast. A crew of 8 arrived to trim, and prune 8 trees in our yard. They were done in two hours and the work was just beautiful. The crew leader was so knowledgeable and gave us excellent suggestions for assuring that we would get the results we wanted. We are so happy, and will only use Eastside from now on. We've used all of their competitors and none of them came close to this. more

Quality of service and value was excellent. 10/10/2011

Eastside Tree Works exceeded my expectations. The degree to which the trees were pruned was skilled not just thinned. The cleanup was thorough and there was no damage to plants or the surrounding patio. The price was fair and they arrived and completed the project in the timeline outlined. I will use them again. more

extremely poor quality tree removal service 7/11/2011

would not recommend anyone getting tree works done by this company. if anyone is thinking of hiring this company for a tree removal ..be prepared.. -for the whole tree removal process to be done it takes more than a month.(has been a month and still in process). -they don't clean up after they cut down the tree. (i wish i could display the picture of my front yard. how horrible it looks). your neighbors will complain. -workers are extremely unfriendly -hard to reach them more

Dissatisfied 6/21/2011

Working with this company was one of the more bizarre experiences we've had with home services/contractors. My first communication with them was fine. The arborist who came out to give us an estimate was great - very knowledgeable, took his time explaining tree care, pointing out things to look for. He gave us an estimate right away which was very reasonable, so we agreed to have the work done before he'd even left. After that, things went downhill quickly. First, the company refuses to give you any warning as to when the crew will actually show up to do the work. I had to call several times to pin them down on when the crew would come. They kept saying that we didn't need to be home for the work to be done, but the thought of having people come by and just start cutting made us too nervous. Every time I called the office, the person I talked to seemed to have no idea what was going on - I think she had to tell me she'd call me back every time I called. The crew just showed up one day, but thankfully someone was home to at least talk to a couple of the guys. The crew didn't warn us that they would want to get in our neighbor's yard to do the work from his side. We ran over to get permission from the neighbor so everything seemed to go as planned. Unfortunately when we returned that evening, the crew had only done 3/4 the work they were supposed to do. When I called the company to ask when the crew was coming back to finish the job, the woman answering the phones once again couldn't help. She said she'd call me back. Instead of her calling me back, the owner of the company called me back. He proceeded to tell me that he thought the bid their arborist gave us was too low and was a really good deal - too good of a deal, in fact. So good of a deal, he didn't think it was really worth it for one of his crews to come out and finish the job! While the company's name is "Eastside" Tree Works - they're actually located in Renton and think that coming up to Bellevue (i.e. the Eastside) is really too far to come out multiple times to finish a job they should've finished the first time. After talking with the owner several times, he agreed that he would send a crew to our house to finish the job once they were in the neighborhood for another job to make the trip "cost effective" for the company. Weeks went by and the job was never finished. After several phone calls, the crew finally showed up again, and they tell us that they'd been to the house several times before, but the neighbor had turned them away. So instead of the owner calling us and letting us know, they figured that if they ignored us we'd go away! So we agreed with the crew that we'd talk to the neighbor and they could come back another time. After talking with the owner of the company, he told us that it wouldn't be cost effective for his crew to come up again unless we paid them an additional $500. We're left with 3/4 done work and now have to find another arborist company to come and finish the job. We will not be using Eastside Tree Works any time in the future or recommending them to anyone we know. The initial consultation was great, but communicating with them was a total disaster. more
