Not upntomusual excellence 1/9/2012

I had the winter wellness tub soak and deep tissue massage. The soak was wonderful but the attendant neglected to provide the modesty towel. The massage was excellent and everyone except the tub attendant was very welcoming and pleasant. When showering the nozzle was broken and came off in my hand when I tried to regulate the water temperature. I love dubunne and have been a regular customer for many years. This was the only time I ever experienced anything negative. more

When I come back to Torrance for my annual January visit, I always plan on at least one day at my favorite Spa, DuBunne. It always lives up to my expectations. The services are wonderful and the people are friendly and welcoming. more

One of my favorite ways to spend a couple hours 1/6/2012

I have been going to Dubunne for years. Although the spa experience is sporadic for me with my busy schedule, I always come back to Dubunne for its professional staff, very clean spa rooms, and the non-corporate personal experience. The ultimate facial is the best! more

Room for improvement 1/5/2012

I am a member and after providing my shoe size at the desk, I was then asked again in the hall, taken to the women's dressing room and told to find a locker. Then I had to request a robe and towel when waiting at my locker the person did not return. The water in the eufuro tub was not hot and no one checked back to see if I was ok or offer a drink, By the time I got the water hot on my own they called me for my massage. The new furniture is nice and classy however the details of service, soft music when tubbing etc would be nice. Other spas set these details as a standard. Dubunne could improve on this especially for someone who pays a monthly fee. This past month alone I purchased over $800 dollars in gift certs and massages for family. more

I was a little confused at where and what to do first. But once I was directed by a worker, it was smooth and relaxing after that. The staff was friendly. My massage was great. It's a great destination for peace and relaxation more

Ultimate Facial - just OK 12/19/2011

Karen was my facialist... We enjoyed a pleasant conversation, but I was not wowed by the facial itself. She was wonderful at describing the products and what they were doing and what sensations to expect, but the facial, hand and foot massage were below average. I didn't feel massaged... For a massage to be too light of a touch, it really means it's a very light touch since I normally prefer a medium to light massage pressure. Also, I specifically chose this facial because it includes extractions, but there was very little of that done... more

Visited the area for the weekend and discovered this wonderful, proffesional, clean and well priced spa. I wish there was another location closer to where I live so I won't need to drive all the way to south bay to enjoy the magic of DuBunne spa. 5 stars are not enough, go try for yourself !! more

Pregnancy massage 12/15/2011

I just had a pregnancy massage done by Alex and it was great! It was really comfortable for my big belly and she worked on specific areas of my back that were very achey. Wish I would have done it earlier so I could get another one. (Only recommended in your 2nd trimester) more

    The treatment area's elegant decor--fountains, warm candlelight, wicker furniture--immediately instills a sense of peace. Golden hues inspire calm and prepare patrons for serious pampering. The immaculate locker room offers a plethora of amenities, from razors to hair products. In addition to cushy robes, the spa offers disposable panties and terry gowns to wear beneath robes for the modest.

    The Service
    The Napa Valley Escape delivers one-and-a-half hours of opulence: First, you're exfoliated with mud-like mixture containing grapeseed extract, then "baked" in a thermal wrap; a scalp massage leads into 20 minutes of cocooned quiet, followed by a relaxing bath in a whirlpool tub tinted pink from rose oil. Afterward, a 30-minute massage is expertly rendered by gentle, but firm hands. During the Visibly Smoother Facial, the esthetician constantly monitors comfort, massaging hands and feet and quietly talking you through the light peel and cleansing. Skin glows, if only for a day.
