LA's Best Integrative and Internal Medicine Doctor! 8/18/2010

I am so happy I found Dr. Jacob's! This doctor is one of a kind! He really got to know me and cared about my health, not just my medical health but my overall well-being and happiness. He said that it is all connected, and that when we are happy and experience a better quality of life, our health improves as well. He made a few suggestions and advised me to make a few changes in my life. None of these changes were drastic, but the difference it made in my life is noticeable. more

Amazing doctor! Amazing office 4/25/2010

I really had such a great experience at Dr Jacobs office! I can't believe I was at a doctors office and not a spa... they had hot tea and water in the waiting room. I didn't wait long and really felt good about my choosing Dr. Jacobs as my Internist. Pros: beautiful calm office, amazing experience. more

VERY knowledgeable Doctor! 2/7/2010

Dr Jacobs is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I have seen. He conducted a very comprehensive physician exam and was able to figure out AND resolve my medical issue by asking me questions. He asked about my job, relationships and my social life. I was so impressed that he figured it out and didn't try to dismiss my concerns as unimportant. BEST Doctor in SFV!! 9/29/2009

Dr. Shahram Jacobs was able to diagnose my issue after 5 other doctor failed!! He spent time, asked me several questions and put together several of what I thought were unrelated symptoms. He is nice and really approachable, his bedside manner is great and his office staff is friendly. I just wish he would validate my parking ticket. more

Great Doc! 5/11/2009

A doctor that actually listens to your worries and gives you answers. I felt taken care of in his office as he was caring yet totally professional and very knowledgeable. I dont think I ever enjoyed a dr visit so much - as he made me feel valued as a patient. Easy to find office (I didnt get lost!!). Pros: Friendly and Professional and Convenient Location more

Awesome Doctor! 3/18/2009

I was visiting LA from NY when unfortunately I came down with a fever and sore throat. Since I didn't have a doctor in CA one of my family members suggested I go see Dr. Jacobs. All I have to say is that he is an absolute pleasure! Even though he knew that I lived in NY, he agreed to see me and took his time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly! His bedside manner is exemplary and he was very knowledgable. If I lived in LA, he would definately be my PMD. more

A Compassionate Doctor 3/18/2009

A compassionate doctor who really cares about his patients is hard to find. But I found that in Dr. Jacobs, who truly took his time and listened to my problems and symptoms with care and compassion. His office is very well-run, the staff is friendly, location is great, and he himself is a rare gem among the many doctors around. I would highly recommend him! more

Great Internist! 3/17/2009

I had a great experience with Dr. J. His diagnosis of my symptoms was right on. He spent time with me explaining my diagnosis, what I can expect and my treatment options. Real nice guy.\r \r To the reviewer below- It was hard for me to hear a diagnosis of depression as well. In my case, once I treated the depression (after dismissing the notion for almost 1 year) my seemingly unrelated symptoms went away... more

I absolutely recommend Dr. Jacobs on a regular basis to friends and family in the area. He is thorough, kind, and always on time. He isn't intimidating like most doctors I've been to and makes it easy for me to ask questions and, most importantly, to get answers. He asks a lot of questions about all aspects of my life in order to get a well-rounded idea of what may be going on with me. I can tell he is always up to date on the latest information and studies because he quotes them when answering my questions. Overall hes a smart and reliable doctor- and hes good looking too! Wonderful Doctor! 3/9/2009

Very impressed with Dr. Jacobs! Most doctors have ignored my complaints about my symptoms saying it is nothing and that I was fine. I knew something was off in my body and I had symptoms to show for it. Dr Jacobs listened to me and took me seriously enough to run a few tests and give me a proper diagnosis and suggest a course of treatment. We are currently treating the issue, I feel back to normal and I cannot thank Dr. Jacobs enough! I am so happy I found Dr. Jacobs! Pros: Very knowledgeable and caring more

Hackneyed Advice from Patronizing Doctor 2/25/2009

A big NO vote on Dr. Jacobs. I came in with a tentative diagnosis from an out-of-network provider at Cedars-Sinai, hoping to establish a relationship with a doctor covered by my insurance. Even though I have test results showing autoimmunity, allergy, malabsorption and digestive issues, Dr. Jacobs treated me like a hysterical middle-aged hypochondriac woman by insisting I was depressed and the depression was causing all my symptoms. What a load of shite...and I'll be paying cash for the CS doc, who actually thinks that the lowest vitamin d levels she's ever seen might be more than a lack of sunshine and too much stress. Dr. Jacobs actually seemed to concur with the CS docs opinion at one point during our visit, but essentially said that the condition usually comes back after treatment, so what's the point of treating it. If you're looking for ersatz charm, Dr. Jacobs is your man; if you need more substantial medical care, don't waste your tijme and seek help elsewhere. more

BEST Doctor in Los Angeles!! 1/12/2009

My mom (who swears by Dr. Jacobs) referred me to him for certain medical issues I was having. Dr. Jacobs exceeded my expectations, he spent time with me and told me exactly what I need to do and what I need to avoid. he made sure everything was clear and that I understood everything 100% before I left his office. He properly diagnosed my condition and was able to treat it as well. He has great bedside manner and is very approachable. more

Finally, a doctor who takes his time. 12/3/2008

Most doctors I've been to dismiss me out of hand without even listening. I look young and healthy, therefore I must be young and healthy or a hypochondriac. Dr. Jacobs was the first doctor who took me seriously, listened intently for a great length of time, ran extensive tests, and pointed me in the right direction of a specialist who can fix my problem. I've never been so impressed with a doctor, and I've been to quite a number trying to get a diagnosis. I can't express my gratitude for Dr. Jacobs enough!!! more

I had a great experience visiting Dr. Jacobs at his office in Los Angeles. He was very nice and approachable. Took his time with me I dod not feel rushed at all. Great Los Angeles Internist! 9/18/2008

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Jaocbs. I chose him to be my PCP (primary care physician) from a list my insurance company sent me, and went to him to get a complete physical exam. I did not have to wait long and had my appt with the Dr and the lab work completed on the same day. (The lab is on the same floor). He is a great person, really easy to talk to. Integrative Medicine in Encino (finally)! 9/11/2008

I finally found the best primary care physician in the valley! Dr. Jacobs is great since he practices internal medicine and complimentary medicine. He knows so much about the mind-body connection, he helped me get through my IBS with out meds. I used to see another doctor that did some of the things dr jacobs does (integrative medicine, complementary medicine etc) but he was really far and did not spend enough time with me. It is about time a more open minded, caring traditional physician came to our neck of the woods! more

truly the BEST Internal Medicine Doctor I have ever seen!! 7/31/2008

I usually do not write reviews online. this is my 1st time. I just felt like I had to take the time and mention what a wonderful experience i had at Dr. Jacob's office. He is a young smart and highly educated doctor (he went tgood schools and had awards and things like that). He knew what I meant when I explained my symptoms he listened and asked questions about differnt parts of my life until we figured out why I may have such bad allergies and this horrible skin condition. It was great to go to a doctor about this and not be given the same allergy meds and steroid cream. He personally called me the next week to see how it was going. He was not the "you are in and the you are out" type of doctor. He is like one of the old school type internal medicine doctors who actually care about people and not just money. what a nice and caring person. Too bad he is married. more

Best Doc in town! 7/28/2008

I hate going to the doctor and needed to get some bloodwork done and a physical. Dr. Jacobs was reccomended to me by a co worker so i decided to give it a shot. When I first walked into the office, the receptionist was incredibly attentive and sweet. I did not have to wait long and was seen right away by Dr. Jacobs. He had a warm caring demeanor about him and was very sensitive to my fears. The bloodwork barely hurt, i hardly felt it! I would highly rec Dr. Jacobs to anyone. Pros: Caring, sensitive, timely more

Being new to the area I was having a hard time finding a doctor that I really liked. On my first appointment he made me feel right at ease. It makes such a difference having a doctor that shows he cares by actually listening to his patients. He not only treated my condition but he explained alternative approcahes and we decided together what would be the best path for me. He is an excellant doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone I know. If you are looking for a caring doctor who makes you feel at ease and actualy knows what he is talking about, I would go to Dr. Shahram Jacobs. Pros: I was seen in a timely manner. more

Dr. Jacobs is exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. He appeared to be up to date on current practice patterns and has trained at highly competitive programs. He is kind, patient and gentle. I am happy to have found a primary care physician that I can rely on, who is willing to take the time to listen to listen to his patients. more
