Dr. Les Sandknop

Dr Bang does not listen. I find him to be rude and have no trust in this doctor when it comes to my health. No follow up after four days in hospital. Had a fractured nose on one visit and NP I saw had to litteraly beg him to ok a prescription for pain medication. I understand that people are known to abuse this medication however certain situation warrant prescribing it. Too quick to rule out causes of medical problem which requires multiple visits back to his office with same symptoms. He leaves in mid sentence and you are left feeling like what just happened. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I'm surprised he even remembered my name. I find it sad because I was hoping I had found a new dr that I could trust my health to. Not the case here. I also get the impression his peers in the office don't have a mutual respect of him. more

I have had 3 Appointments at this drs office for a routine check up and each time was seen an hour and a half AFTER my scheduled appointment time. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours there for routine checkup!!! And then you are not even treated by a dr. Maybe an NP Or PA... Rediculous... Then they might spend 5 mins with you!!! Not going back here, i havent spent enough time with any of the staff to give a review but i could give you an overview on the last 12 issues of D magazine that i read while waiting... more

After seeing 3 different doctors in this office, I've decided to seek another practice in the Rockwall area. There is little to no follow through and after numerous visits for the same problem, they still didn't perform any blood work. After seeing Dr. Bang, voicing my concerns of the other doctors, and explaining my frustration with having no blood work done, he ordered for blood work to be done. They called me back a few days after and let me know the results were in and that I need to set up an appt. I let them know my schedule and they assured me I would be able to be seen, even if I was a little late. I was approx. 20 minutes late and they had cancelled my appt without even a phone call. By the time I got there, Dr. Bang was already gone. With everythint I've dealt with already with this office, this completely pissed me off. No service whatsoever! This wasn't the worst part of it though. The receptionist on that day, Tammy, offered NO assistance except to reschedule me. She didn't even get up out of her seat to consult with anyone. She is the face of the office, the first interaction patients have with the office. If this lack of service exists here, I now understand why the rest of the practice has failed me. After expressing my disapproval of the way things were being handled, she still showed no signs at all of caring about my situation. Very apathetic! I will be looking for another office and will have all my records sent over as soon as possible. I will not be back. more

Good: His nurse practitioners and physician's assistants.. Bad: Dr. Richard Bang - he couldn't diagnose a broken leg, sent me out walking on a broken leg and telling me to suck it up. This doubled my time on crutches. Then he decided at 4:45p.m. on a Friday that he wanted medical records before refilling my meds after months of never saying anything. I am not on pain medication or anything that is abused or disconcerting to refill.. Improvements: This doctor providing a standard of care or leaving his practice to work in a lab and not on humans.. Other: Beware of Dr. Ricard Bang - report his substandard care if you have experienced it - protect others from him.. more

this doctor has been in practice for many years, but goes out of his way to keep current with medical changes. He is knowledgeable, but if needed knows many other doctors to refer you to. i have always trusted him and will continue to go to his office when necessary more
