Have you noticed that every corner in Astoria either has a 99 cents store, a nail salon, or a big square chain drugstore? I have no idea how long Double G Pharmacy has been around, but I'm sure it's been forever, and there's a reason for it. They have this really strange concept called customer service. They are always so sweet and attentive, and well, make you feel like you're living in a neighborhood. I've never waited for a prescription and they've offered home remedies I hadn't thought of when I've been sick. The downside is their over-the counter items can be a little higher in price—but that's where the 99 cent stores come in handy.
