Dollwood's Splash Country 8/8/2006

This is a pretty neat water park. Being tucked away in the mountains with the beautiful scenery, this is a good place to visit. The problem I have with this is on these 100 degree days standing in line for a hour sometimes for a 30 second ride. You can get near heat exhaustion. The wave pool is great thought they let the water go easy for a while then let the waves come, it is a cool thing to be in. The waves can get real strong so watch over younger children. I have one wish for here and that is being it's a water park they should have sprinklers over all the lines for the rides to keep you cool while waiting. People already know they are gonna get wet if they come here so why not. more

Dollywood's Splash Country is really a lot of fun. It is the perfect place to go on that hot summer day to cool off and have fun. They have a 1,000-gallon water splash, seven water slides, and an awesome wave pool. They also have two interactive children's playground that will keeep the little ones occupied with hours of fun. The park is very clean and the staff is super nice!! more

Splashin Good Fun! 12/2/2005

I've been to several different water parks, but this one is definitely one of the prettiest, and one of the best! With the Smokies surrounding the park, it looks less like a concrete jungle, and more like an old watering hole. There are tons of chairs for lounding in the sun, a huge wave pool, a great lazy river (my favorite - lay back and float), along with some great waterslides. The new Bear Mountain Fire Tower is a great water play area. One neat feature for parents is the kid locator wristbands they rent. For a nominal charge ($2 each, I think) you and your kids get a wristband that are all tuned to the same frequency. There are several view screens in the park that let you wave you wristband in front of it and it will show you where in the park the rest of your party is located. This is one of my favorite summer destinations. more

Something different in the mountains. 11/22/2005

Dollywood's Splash Country offers some variety to Pigeon Forge. The prices are affordable when you compare them to other large water parks. I was very pleased to find how clean the locker areas and restrooms are. I also found all the pool areas clean, which is a big plus to me. The kid's area was amazing. Lots of fun things for the little ones and lots of places for mom and dad to watch and supervise. The family ride was the best! You can pile five people in one large raft and zoom down the tube. I did find the food and drink to be a bit overpriced, but this seems to be the norm at most large amusement parks. more

Dollywood's Splash Country 8/19/2005

Splash Country is an amazing water park. It's part of Dollywood so it has a definite Southern flair. It has slides, a lazy river, and plenty of places to lay out in the sun. It's reasonably priced for such a large water park. It's a good place for families, especially those with children. more
