I took a friend visiting from out of town for the ferry ride and we stumbled into Docs, the place was really busy but the staff was very nice and accommodating. I was surprised, having a restaurant background, watching the crew deal with an unexpected busy day with class and aplomb. Some servers and bartenders would have melted under the pressure.
Enough on the stellar wait staff, I have to rave about the Prime Rib sandwich, it was advertised as the owner's favorite and boy was it tasty. Piled high with beef on a very tasty crusty bread, it was a delight. My friend had the chicken club and was also impressed. We are both restaurant peeps, having worked in Seattle for years and I don't lavish praise often, but it was worth the ferry ride to eat there. I want to go back and try dinner.
