Oooooooooh I do not like this place!!! The Divino Lounge is an Argentinian restaurant in Bethesda that is actually a two block distance from the metro, which is probably the only positive thing I have to say about it. My friend and I went here for a chill evening and we happen to find out that to sit down to eat and listen to a band playing (who had flown in from Argentina) we had to pay a $20 cover (and the food is already woh expensive). Not only was it not advertised anywhere, but while we were walking towards our table, the hostess asked us if we were here for the concert. Why would you ask us that question if we would still have to pay regardless??? It annoys me now to even think about it. And then we grew even angrier that our waiter only came to see us ONCE and that was when we first sat down. So after 45 mins and not receiving our appetizer, we had to flag some other guy over. And after we had eaten that, we had to flag some other guy over to get our dessert order. Can we say ageist? The appetizer I had was called mollejas a la parrilla con limón-basically some meat dish. It was ok, a little chewy. The dessert we ordered was good old chocolate fondue, can't go wrong there. Or can they??? Oh yes, at the Divino Lounge they can. The majority of the fruit they brought us to go with our chocolate was MELON. Cantaloupe and honeydew drenched in chocolate!?!?!?! Oh of course I still ate it, but I covered that piece of fruit with enough chocolate that it could have been a tostito and I would have no idea. The decor of this place was nice but really fancy, the service was abominable, and the food was 'eh.' Basically, don't go there.
