Divas Hair & Day Spa

I personally heard the owner say that you need a reference for her to cut your hair...can you imagine? I also heard her tell random customers that she was poor....and then talks about her mercedes and in ground pool. Very expensive ....guess why I was told this was a high end salon...and not everyone can afford to go to Divas....only a select few. What an attitude! The cut was just okay...not spectacular! I have been going to Diva's Hair and Day Spa since 2002. Prior to my first appointment with Jane (owner) , I thought I had the best stylist , and had gone to her for 20 years or more. I have gone to Divas a couple of times and each time I have had a horrible experience. They act like they are the only salon/spa in the area and that they are doing you a favor by allowing you to step foot in their salon. I was given a gift certificate on Friday and called to make an appoint the following Monday and they wouldn't take my gift certificate for spa services even though it was not posted anywhere on the certificate or in the salon. Another time they decided to cancel my appointment for another client, but they never thought to call and let me know. Cons: Rude, snobby more

I've been to this spa 2x in past 4 weeks & highly recommend. Been to many local spas & at resorts/cruises- Kingsmill Resort, Celebrity & Holland America. Spa I had been going to for 3 years recently closed so needed to find another for both atmosphere & quality of service. I found all of the staff at Diva's nothing but accommodating & friendly. Didn't witness any of the staff being rude to anybody. I felt & was treated like a queen but I, myself, always try to treat staff members with respect and courtesy as well. Was so impressed I purchased several special packages for Christmas presents to myself & my older teen children. The decor & atmosphere are excellent. Very classy so relaxing & inviting. Love the rich colors, dark woodwork & furniture accents- luxury! Lovely, private room to relax while waiting for your services. Music & lighting very relaxing & voices kept low for most relaxation. Aroma in spa is even relaxing. Lauri Ann give great massage for my back/neck problems. Amy gave amazing facial. I love the seperate rooms for each service. At the end I received a shampoo, blowdry & style. My hair still looked great the next morning! FABULOUS experience. I already set my appointment for next month for massage, facial, pedicure & hair and I can't wait! Pros: close to 95 for easy access from all parts of town Cons: Can't think of any other than having to go home when your services are done! more

Of all the hair and day spa's around totally avoid this one! The staff ( except the girls in the back) is rude and snobby, and self centered. I couldnt get over how the owner was treating her staff. Talking down to the young receptionist, and scolding her like a dog.When she forget to book my last appointment. IT WAS A MISTAKE! She must have had a bad childhood,or deep personal issues, and is now taking it out on her staff! If you feel like going to a salon where all you hear is gossip and bitching, be my guest! I made an appointment for my daughter & I to have a day at the Spa for her birthday, however, my daughters newborn daughter was rushed to the hospital and had a three day stay, needless to say I had to call & cancel the appointments, which I did 24 hours in advance. more
