He doesn’t respond to emails eventhough he claims to have read the emails as indicated in the billing statements and then charges for it but it is not evident in court that he read those emails. When you call, they ignore your calls, it takes calling with an unrecognized phone number to get hold of him or his legal assistant.
A one page amended order takes Mr Dittrich a month to draft even after several reminders; a proposed order that could have taken less than 5mins to draft. Mr Dittrich lied to me that his legal assistant has drafted it and it’s in a pile somewhere. When i finally got hold of his legal assistant, she declined ever drafting the order and informed me that Mr. Dittrich has been out of office sick since a particular date eventhough i still spoke with Mr. Dittrich that very day his legal assistant stated he was out of the office. What a disconnect in communication!
I retained Mr. Dittrich to represent me in couple of legal matters due to judicial economy. However, when I noticed his nonchalant attitude and ridiculous charges, I decided to separate my case and I can tell you, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
After substitution of counsel, Mr. Dittrich could not come up with a Case Transfer Correspondence for the substituting counsel because he had no documentation to reference. All he had was his timesheets but no specific notes.
He is a one man show without any back-up strategy. If he is out of the office or sick, everything stops and God help you if you have an upcoming trial!
He creates an atmosphere to make it look like you are difficult to work with eventhough he refuses to advocate for his client’s needs.
In conclusion Mr Dittrich has a strategy of low retainer to acquire customers but he is ineffective and inefficient in his process which eventually leads to huge legal fees. Don’t be fooled if he spends two hours free consultation with you. You will severely pay for it in your future bills.
