Awesome 3/7/2009

My family and I stayed here last year for vacation. It was a great resort . Theme was awesome! Rooms in were clean and quiet. We sayed in a prefered room which means you are closer to the pool . We stayed in the 50's era the bowling pin pool in our area was great. The other 2 were nice too. The food court had everything you could ever want.It had something for everyones taste. It is a value resort which I think is the best thing because all you do is sleep there and you are at the parks for the remainder of the day unless you are swimming. So why pay more money when everything you need is right here at Pop Century. The only thing is and it just a state thing I thing . There were smoking areas right at the enterance and being from a state that does not allow smoking in public areas(you have to be 15 or more feet from doors) that was the only thing that bothered us. But we are still going back this year!! Pros: None Cons: smoking areas more

  • The Scene
For a budget-oriented resort, the spectacle of American pop culture is impressive. A Rubik's Cube, platform shoes, a Big Wheel, jukebox, and cellular phone are among the larger-than-life icons, toys and fads that represent individual decades spanning the last 100 years. This whimsical property is massive, housing 5,760 rooms in 20 buildings, with 10 sections themed for a particular decade. With 235 acres to stroll, guests can wander about and play trivia for hours on end.

    The Details
Families will find the brightly colored guest rooms accommodating enough and appreciate the affordability of the food court, cafeteria and room-delivery pizza. With the convenience of complimentary shuttles and special advantages for theme park visitors, as well as several pools, bicycles, golf access, hair salon, health club and bar, guests will agree that the amenities surpass typical expectations of budget lodging.
