I am sorry for such a long review, but I felt I had to be thorough. I have been coming to this nail salon for years, but after today I plan to NEVER go back.
So I went in to get a manicure only. I had to wait about 5 minutes which I didn't mind. Soon after the manicurist sat me at a manicure table and she began her work.
This place closes at 7 PM and unfortunately I got there at 6:45 PM. I was worried I came in too late, but the salon was still crowded with customers so I figured it wasn't a problem. My manicurist also kept complaining to me about how I came in LATE. I got there before the place closed so technically this shouldn't be a problem. She mentioned my tardiness at least 2-3 times. I was annoyed. After my nails were complete (if you want to call it that) there were still other customers left so I did not feel as if I was the only reason they were still open.
While she was cutting my cuticles, she cut a little too much on my right thumb and it started to bleed. It also hurt a LOT. I figured it was just an accident, but to my surprise she whipped out some superglue and SUPERGLUED MY CUT SHUT! She didn't even ask! It actually didn't even help stop the bleeding and while I was still sorting out what the heck had just happened, she cut too deep on my middle finger's cuticle on my left hand and I started bleeding there too! It didn't hurt as much as my thumb so I didn't notice it right away, but she quickly covered it up with BITS OF MY OWN CUT CUTICLES so I wouldn't see it bleeding. EW! Soon the towel underneath my hands were covered in spots of blood and I realized what she had done. She didn't superglue that cut shut though and LAUGHED IT OFF as if it were no big deal. I was FURIOUS. She kept laughing at how I kept bleeding afterwards. Seriously. It was ridiculous.
I was in a hurry and the manager/owner was yapping away on the phone so I couldn't confront him right away about what had happened. When I did confront him about what happened, he said nothing to me at all. Instead he started talking to the manicurist in what appeared to be Vietnamese. In addition, he never once apologized to me or offered me anything to make me happier with the situation. I was pretty much ignored and was asked to pay. That is all. No words of comfort, no sorry, no nothing.
The manicurist told me that she would ""repaint"" my nails for me after she realized how angry I was. I said NO because clearly the problem is my two CUTS, not necessarily the paint job. The manager/owner didn't say a word in regards to making up for their mistakes.
Instead when I finally decided to pay, the manager/owner tells me that the credit card machines were not working and he would have to write down my credit card number in a notebook so he can charge me tomorrow since I had no cash. Seriously. I didn't even want to pay for the mess this woman made of my hands AND THE SUPERGLUED CUT, and I was definitely in no mood to leave my credit card information with these incompetent people. I said I wasn't comfortable leaving my credit card number in some random salon's notebook, but he told me to trust him.Yeah right. I offered to come in tomorrow to pay and he said NO. I now had 5 minutes to get home so I reluctantly left my credit card number, but I plan on going in tomorrow and shredding that piece of paper myself. I do not trust this salon with my credit card information as well as my hands (or feet). I did NOT tip.
I was happy with their service for years until my experience today. After making sure my credit card information is in fact destroyed, I plan on never ever going back to this terrible nail salon. No apologies, no nothing. Waste of money and my two fingers still hurt and the superglued cut looks HORRENDOUS. Oh did I mention that blood mixed into my lavender colored nail polish and now I have streaks of red blood in my thumb's nail polish? Yeah.... Disgusting.
Avoid this place at all costs.
