NEVER GET AN OIL CHANGE HERE!!!!! 5/7/2012

I purchased an online Groupon coupon for two (2) oil changes in November 2011 to be used by the end of March 2012. My first oil change occured in early February. It was completed and I have no complaints. However, I thought that I would take advantage of what I purchased and make use of the second oil change, so I scheduled it late March. I drive about 20k miles per year, so it made sense. I scheduled it a week in advance. The appointment day arrived and upon checking in, I was told that they did not have me scheduled (first mistake, minor issue). \r \r I waited about two (2) hours, which I thought was not too bad. They handed me my keys and said that I was good to go without any documentation. Now, here's where they really screwed up! About three (3) weeks later, I checked my oil and there was seriously less than one (1) quart in my engine! I park in my driveway and know that my car does not leak oil. Also, I know that through regular use, oil levels tend to decrease. However, this level in my car was simply unacceptable. It is very possible that they did not put enough oil in my car! (major mistake) Also, I tried calling up to find out what oil they put in my car and they were unsure what they put in my car! I obviously could not add more oil to cure the problem because of the risk that it may not be the same! I changed my own oil about an hr ago and learned my lesson to NEVER GET AN OIL CHANGE FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

The best place of all! 3/28/2012

Having had several personal situations in the recent past, I had the opportunity to have very good service at Dean Honda in West Mifflin. The staff there is exceptional and extremely accomodating! I would recommend this place to anybody. They are very fair, professional and most of all understanding. Give them a try for service. You will not be disappointed, trust me! more

WARNING 3/27/2011

Buyer beware! You will be GIVEN THE RUNAROUND from SALESPERSON to SALES MANAGER and SERVICE MANAGER. Most exhausting experience I've ever encountered. more

really helpful service dept 1/20/2011

my girlfriend was having some problems with her 2001 honda accord recently (leaking oil), and we decided to go to a dealer because of poor experiences with local pepboys and firestone shops. we went to dean honda because it is closest to where we live (baldwin borough) and were holding our breath fearful of a huge bill.\r \r we were blown away by how friendly and helpful the service rep from dean honda was. his name was dan and he was very up front and had us totally at ease when we talked to him. no pressured sales tactics like i have seen at some other chain auto repair shops. the work was done well and her accord is no longer leaking. most importantly the price was fair, and we did not feel at all ripped off.\r \r overall, we will certainly be paying more visits to dean honda in the future. probably even for oil changes and routine maintenance. i recommend anyone else to do the same\r more

Dishonest Service Dept. 12/1/2010

I had a friend who always had her car serviced here and I always felt she was being taken. The last time she had her car in for a transmission fluid change she was told transmission fluid was all over her tranny and she needed a new transmission. The service mgr. and mechanic tried to tell me that the can diagnose a bad transmission without dropping the tranny. They showed me the fluid and I told them to take it off the lift, that we were taking the car. To my amazement that asked if we still wanted the tranny fluid changed ! When I checked car myself Ifound the transmission had been overfilled causing fluid to leak out over bottom of engine. This was 2 years ago, my friend has since moved to Va. and is still using the same car. more

warranty 11/9/2010

i purchased a brand new 2008 honda civic ex in 2008. At 34,000 miles, my engine blew. Of course Dean Honda tried to fight me on the warranty, but my dad was able to convince them to replace the engine under warranty (like it should be). It is now amonth later, but my tire pressure light and the check engine light are both on. I take it in the Dean Honda today and they call to tell me i need a ""software update"" that is not relavant to the engine so i have to pay. Although the fee is only $24, it is the principle. What sense is a warranty if they don't honor it for anything. Not to mention the month they were rebuilding my engine, they provided no loaner and i wasted 2 hours of my work day up there today. I would never buy any Honda, and never ever even consider buying a car off Dean Honda's lot. What a disgrace to the Honda name. I love to tell my story about my ""reliable"" Honda that should go to 200,000 miles, that blew up at 36,000 for no apparant reason. more

Dishonest Dealer 12/26/2009

Just out of college with limited money, tried to buy my first new car. Told them no cosigner possible. They said they'd try to get me financing. Signed all the papers, handed them my check (all my money). They called back two days later saying I'd need a cosigner. I told them that wouldn't work, and asked them to rip up the check. Instead they cashed it and made me wait two weeks for them to pay me back...holding up my purchase. No apologies...just attitude and lecture about how anybody would need a cosigner. Bought a Chevy with no cosigner the day after these sharks returned my money. Pros: Honda Cons: Dean Honda more

nice dealership 7/24/2009

Improved dealership 11/27/2005

The first time I went there to look at a car, the salesman told me he couldn't give me a price until I was committed to buying the car. I thought that was totally dumb and left. The next time (years later) that I went there, that policy had changed. I worked with a very good salesman there and ended up buying a car from them. I have no regrets and would go back based on my recent experience. more
