All the staff was friendly and helpful!

Assuming you're looking for a place to sleep/rest when you're not otherwise working, this is the place. The room (room 229) was clean,...

awesome! 11/2/2011

Can not believe how nice and well kept the room was. Actually much nicer than the room I had at another expensive hotel. I left due to noise and rude hotel guests. Not here though. Front desk clerk was so nice here. I will be staying here in the future now. more

Stay here if you love getting insulted!! 10/8/2011

Word of advise, stay at the Comfort Inn across the street or even better, under the MAX bridge. The guy who works here is a MAJOR @$$wipe! People have to really work hard to get me pissed off at them, too! This guy is condescending, rude, disrespectful, unhappy, and homophobic. The only way you can avoid him is to stay somewhere else. However, if you do happen to stay here, the facilities aren't bad. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are adequate, and the free WiFi works well. Be careful if you have allergies, though! My allergies to dust and pollen have been acting up since I checked in. One last warning: the ""complimentary breakfast"" (as they describe it) is NOT free if you book your hotel through a third party. more

The WORST Customer Service EVER! 9/24/2010

I have lived in Portland for some time, so am very familiar with the area and the local hotel/motels. Because of a move that took longer than expected, I had to stay at a few hotels during the last two months. My stay at the Day's Inn Airport was the worst part of the whole time. Though the first room was nice, clean, with a few extras, I was surprised at the approx $65/night cost, especially when I was quoted between $52-$54 when I called the day before. Since I had already packed everything up, was tired, and in need of a place near my son's daycare, I accepted the rate though felt it was a ""bait and switch"".\r \r On top of that, I have never been treated so rudely. The place was mostly empty the entire time I was there, so I was very surprised they didn't seem to care about their complete lack of customer service, especially since I was paying for an extended stay, close to $1000 by the time I left. Neither of the people at the front desk had a great command of the English language, which I have no problem with if the person at least refrains from yelling at me when I don't understand what they're saying. The language barrier made it very difficult to resolve the various problems that arose during my stay.\r \r The next issue was smoking. I happen to smoke once in the morning and once in the evening, that's it. I had my toddler son with me most of the time, so wanted a non-smoking room and never smoked in the room. When I smoked outside, I was first asked to do so in the middle of the parking lot. Then, one night while I stood out there in the rain, I was told I actually needed to move out to the street instead. I found this odd, but complied. I was then harassed about the fact that I smoked and told that they had to pay $400 to have the room cleaned because my clothes might smell of smoke when I returned to the room. To avoid this fee, I was forced to move to a smoking room, which stank so horribly, I was barely able to stand it. The manager kept telling me I was wrong and that the room didn't smell of smoke... To his nose, the smoking room didn't smell, but the non-smoking room my clothes went into for some reason did.\r \r Then, I had a friend come in from out of town. He visited me during the day and on the second day, I was told I had to pay an add'l $7/day for having a visitor, even though he wasn't staying overnight. The manager complained about him using the shower, which my guest never did, using electricity (what?), and told me I'd have to leave if I didn't pay. It was such a small amount on top of what I was already paying, I went along with it, even though I felt it was totally wrong. I paid $21 for the few days he was going to be there, but I was still constantly harassed about his presence. The manager continually asked when he would stop coming by (even though I'd paid in advance for his being here) and after he left, refused to believe that he was no longer here and tried to make me continue to pay. I've never been called a liar by someone I was paying to provide a service before. Who does that?\r \r If that wasn't enough, when my son and I tried to have a cup of apple juice each during the ""complimentary breakfast"". I was told I needed to pay $3 for the extra cup of juice. I refused to pay and just walked out of the breakfast. Also, the message light on the phone never stopped blinking, whether I had a message or not. He refused to believe me and wouldn't come to the room to check it out. The Wi-Fi signal was also very sporadic and they refused to reboot/check their router when connection issues arose.\r \r Basically, the manager and his wife make staying here so unpleasant that I would never do it again. I would HIGHLY suggest you pay the add'l $10/night or so to stay on the other side of the road at the Comfort Inn. A better hotel with excellent staff. more
