Dax & Lindsay: Thermal Reconditioning Specialists

So I couldn't take the moisture of the San Francisco weather anymore and my hair was definitely taking a toll. I had no time in the mornings to deal with it everyday. I did a ton of research before I went to Dax and Lindsay since I was definitely nervous to do the process....as most people are. I really, honestly, can not say more good things about them. The most important thing for me was safety...and making sure my hair will not fall out or get dried out. This is also their main concern...they cut small pieces of your hair and run the entire process through it before they would ever actually work on your entire head of hair. They took their time throughout the process and always took the conservative approach when it came to how much chemical to use, strength, etc....which honestly was the most important thing for me. They are also super fun to talk to and the time flew by. I know it is your hair and you don't want to let just anyone work on it, but these people aren't just anyone. They know hair and understand how to handle it. I strongly strongly recommend them. more

They are simply the best! I have gotten this treatment done 6 times now. The two times I gotten done in Puerto Rico, it was nice. Then, I got it done in San Diego. The first time was fine; the second time I even lost some hair! Finally, I meet Dax and Lindsay? they are just the best! I always feel great when they work in my hair; they are two artists working in a piece of art? my hair. They pay attention to every detail, everything is just perfect! If having a silky picture perfect hair was not enough, Lindsay is just the best creating haircuts. She is creative, and works with you to deliver something that you like and fits you and your type of hair. They are very nice too, it is a pleasure to talk and listen to them, and they make you fell very comfortable. Also, they have a great work ethic; they will only do a work in your hair if they feel it?s is appropriate and will work (they even do an elasticity test before they start working on you). I've been going to Dax and Linsey for the past few years and feel that they are the best in the business. They are so professional, meticulous, and friendly to boot. Before I met them, I'd feel nervous whenever I got a thermal (I've been over-processed, underprocessed, etc). But with these two, I get straight and healthy hair every time. I can't say enough nice things about them! For anyone who is new to TRs, they will do a strand test and tell you honestly whether or not the process is right for you. I loved my experience with Dax and Lindsay! They are so fun and nice - I always have a great time when I am there! I was so nervous to get the thermal reconditioning done - but their professionalism and experience put me at ease - and I love the results! I am still excited everyday when I look in the mirror! I had the pleasure of meeting Dax and Lindsay a couple of years ago, when I had my hair Thermal Reconditioned for the first time. The results where incredible. I heard about Dax and Lindsay from a friend and went to see them to get a partial thermal. I was delighted to find such a wonderful salon with such great service. They were both so nice and really took time to answer my questions. This was the second thermal that i got and it was way better then the first one that i got at a different salon. Lindsay and Dax are THE BEST TR duo in the Bay Area par none. They have done 3 TR on me all with great results. They are very clear what a TR is and isn't. They are completely honest. They are not going to talk you into a TR for the sake of closing they deal - they will only give you the TR if they beleive the results will be 100% fabulous. Their ultimate goal is for you to happy and comfortable with your new hair. I have had a couple of friends go see L &D after seeing my TR (all with great success). I've had my hair thermally reconditioned by Dax & Lindsay six or seven times over the last four years and I cannot speak highly enough about them. They're careful only to take clients who they can assure perfect results and they've delivered for me year after year. Anyone considering having their hair reconditioned should be very careful about who they go to. The first time I had my hair reconditioned in New York, my hair was completely fried and fell out in clumps for the next six months. Lindsey and Dax have mastered the technique and time and again leave my hair perfectly straight and in great condition. Beyond that, they're both really cool, fun people with a great perspective on life. I look forward to seeing them every six months and spending half a day laughing in their chair. Dax and Lindsey changed my life. Two and a half years ago, they tested my hair to see if I was a good candidate for thermal reconditioning. Thank heavens they did!! Absolutely the best, I went in for a touch up yesterday and not only are Dax and Lindsay two of the nicest people ever, but they do such a great job. My hair is smooth and perfectly straight once again. They really are wonderful at they do and I cannot recommend them enough. Their new location in Berkeley is easy to find and in a great spot and has a great atmosphere. It is an expensive treatment but it is definitely worth it. This treatment is amazing and I wouldn't go to anyone else to have it done, nor would I recommend anyone else. If you're interested in having this done, GO TO DAX AND LINDSEY!!!! They are the BEST. Dax and Lindsay have been straightening my hair for 5 years and I have had a wonderful experience every time. I love how soft and silky my hair is after they straighten it and wouldn't dream of letting anyone else touch my hair. Thank you Dax and Lindsay!!! My hair looks and feels fabulous. I have received numerous complements on my hair. I'm 1/2 African American and Japanese. I had my hair thermal reconditioned over a year ago and about 6 months ago I relaxed my new growth with no lye relaxer, which I know now was a big no-no.
