I recently took my computer to Davison Computers, Inc. at 230 N. State Rd. in Davison, Michigan (MI) 48423. This is possibly the worst business I have ever visited. Their free inspection is a joke! You have to leave the computer at the shop and wait 7-10 business days before you even know what is wrong with it. Then you have to pay their outrageous prices for repair! I haven't even gotten to the good part yet. They have what is called an Expedite fee for $25. This puts your computer at the "front" of the line. So what about the other people that have waited a week to get theirs looked at. Not a good business practice at all! But I ungraciously paid this so called expedite fee. Well it still took 5 business days to receive a call with what is wrong and then 2 more days until my computer was done!
Then they had boxes sitting out from new deliveries. Come to find out they order everything from newegg.com and mark it up by 3-5x! Not only that they charged me $35 to install a part and it only took them 2 minutes! What a ripoff! After I pay $385 for my other computer to get fixed they have the nerve to do that!!
They also sell computers but when I asked to know the prices they said they hadn't come out with the new configurations yet. What kind of business advertises they sell computers but doesnt even have any literature on them. Plus once I order one I would have to wait a week just to get it! I would rather order a Dell for a much cheaper price and better service.
Ok now on to their employees. They only have 1 employee (who looked like he was barely 16, think his name was mike) working at a time and with the phone constantly ringing I had to wait at least 15 minutes just to be waited on! Couldn't they at least have more than 1 employee working? This is probably why it takes so long to have your computer fixed. They only have 1 employee working who is always busy dealing with customers.
As a senior I am going to spread the word about my terrible experience at Davison Computers. I reccomend anyone who reads this review to stay away from Davison Computers!! And my case is not alone, after I took my computer there I found out many have had the same experience. In fact The Davison Index I learned has many complaint letters for Davison Computers from disgruntled customers like myself. I doubt this business will be a business much longer.
By the way several of the complaints at Davison Index were customers who had ordered parts that were special order. Do not ever do this here! The customers had to wait weeks and even months for their parts to arrive. Everytime they called they said the order was "backordered". They couldn't even keep the story right, changed. Yeah right, nice try Davison Computers, Inc. Won't be getting my or any of my other senior friends business, now I am taking it to the friendly folks just around the corner on Davison Rd. at Bitwise Connections and I suggest you do the same.
