I absolutely LOVE this salon and couldn't agree more with the reviews below- the service is truly exceptional, the staff is beyond friendly and inviting, and the level of expertise is completely on-point. I'm very picky about my hair and Tia patiently sits with me while I explain what I want- even though it's completely unnecessary because she is a hair magician and makes my hair perfect EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Seriously. I've not unfortunately moved to Raleigh and don't have much time off to make it to Charlotte, but whenever I do I try to schedule an appointment with her because it is worth the wait! more

Every 6 weeks I treat myself to a visit with my all time favorite PROFESSIONAL hair stylist, Shawn, at David Ross' salon. I walk in and feel so welcome,....I know almost everyone by name and they are all really friendly! Shawn's skill at managing my ""do"" from style, cut, to color always garners compliments from my Sweetie and often from complete strangers! My hair consistently looks healthy and well, pretty! I have been with Shawn for over four years and would never consider changing,...she has such talent and is utterly adorable to boot! more

I love this salon! I was visiting my sister for the weekend and wanted to get my hair done while I was in town. Before making an appointment, I read a bunch of reviews for a bunch of different salons in the Charlotte area. Based on the reviews, I made an appointment for a Brazilian Keratin Treatment at the David Ross Salon. I am so happy with the results! My stylist, Tia, is amazing! I'm African American with natural hair so I was not sure how well the Brazilian Keratin Treatment would work for my hair. After my consultation, Tia told me that I would love the results...and she was 100% correct. She took time to explain the process and the after care...I also had some highlights put in my hair before the treatment (I left it up to Tia to decide what color highlights to put in). The color is beautiful! I will definitely come back to this salon to get my hair done...and I don't even live in the Charlotte (I live in Ohio)! That's how much I love the service I received from Tia. I am willing to drive 7.5 hours to get my hair done at this salon! more

I LOVE Amanda. When I moved to Charlotte, I tried a few places and just was not happy. I am picky about my hair. Now I only go to David Ross to have Amanda cut my hair. She gives a great cut and listens to what you want and can create a great cut even if you just go ""I want something different but have no idea what."" Even though I now live up by Lake Norman, I still drive to Southend to get my hair cut. more

I've been going to David Ross Salon for years. I can recommend it to a friend (man, woman, grandparent, teenager) and honestly tell them that any stylist they see will do a fantastic job - cuts, color, styling, anything. It's a fantastic, welcoming place and you leave feeling beautiful every single time. more

David hires skilled stylist and color experts. He encourages continuing education to stay on top of trends and new products. My thin, fine, color treated hair has never looked this good. Great 1st experience there. I am definitely going back and getting partial highlights. Shawn was my stylist and she was knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to work with. I travel to Charlotte and when my work here is done, I'll still make the trip for the awesome cut at David Ross Salon. I have difficult, thin, fine hair. Tia is the Bomb! My cut looks just as good six weeks into it as it did when I walked out of the salon. The compliments just keep on coming, and trust me when I tell you no one has ever complimented my hair. I have lived in Charlotte for over a year and a half now. I moved from San Francisco and had an AMAZING hair stylest there! I have searched for over a year for someone here that matched that quality (even visited C&C twice!) - but to no luck! UNTIL my friend got an amazing cut from David Ross salon's LaTia! I called LaTia the next day and got an appointment! I have been going to her ever since, telling all my friends and family as well! I have had soooo many compliments on my hair, too - total strangers even ask me who does my hair! I can't say enough great things about this salon! David Ross Salon is by far the coolest most well rounded salon in Charlotte! I went to David first; fantastic! After I saw what Jennifer could do I went to her as well and she was great; she cuts short hair like no one I have ever seen. I went to Shawn and she didnt let me down... Finally I went to Tia and she rocked my hair out for me! Amazing style and creative color. I have never been more pleased with the all around service in a salon before. Even the front desk chic Courtney is friendly and helpful! Pros: The salon is small and personal, you can tell the staff gets along very well, you are always accomodated and every stylist keeps up with whats new and hip without being pretencious! Cons: Lots of people are finding out about the salon and you have to call in advance. more
