Very, very good 1/4/2011

All I really have to say is wow. I felt like I was the most important customer in the building, which I couldn't really have been since I was one of about 5 AND I was only looking at used cars. Not exactly the kind of person most dealerships would want to spend a ton of time on on a very busy Saturday. \r \r However, James (used car manager), Jeff (sales) and Eric (head manager) were all extremely helpful, patient, and thorough. I never felt rushed or pressured, even though it was a busy day at the end of the year. I had never bought a car all on my own before, and I was terrified of what the experience would be like. When first searching for a car, I visited TONS of Toyota and Honda dealerships in So Cal (Kobe, Carson, Hooman, etc) and was not once impressed with the people, the deals, or the experience. I came to this dealership because their used cars are right out front, looking shiny and inviting, and let's be honest: every where you go in the San Fernando Valley, you see about a million bright green David Ellis plates. It must mean something!\r \r I got the perfect used 2007 Honda Accord, at a truly great price. The price matched the miles, the Carfax report was available, and the test drive was pleasant (no awkwardness or pushiness). I couldn't have felt more at ease. When it came time to actually sit down and spend my money, I was surprised at how smooth the process was. I was walked through every step, signed all the paperwork, and was out the door. I'm a car owner, and I love it! \r \r I also know I'll be taking my new car here for service.\r \r The only reason I'm deducting a star is because I wish I could have seen more used cars. I feel confident with my choice, but you can never have too many options! more

Best Place in So Cal 10/24/2010

I moved to this area from Arizona a few years ago, and I had to find a new place to bring my Jeep for service. I was reccomended to David Ellis by a neighbor. Even though I would usually avoid a dealership because of the ""higher"" prices, I decided to try it. \r \r And I fell in love. The service guys are helpful, the cashier is sweet and funny. It's great. I also feel like I'm being a charged a reasonable price, every time.\r \r I would never take my beloved Jeep anywhere else, and neither should you! more

Excellent service, even on a Saturday 9/25/2010

Ok, first of all, their service department is open practically all day on Saturday, which I was not expecting at all. Amazing! You always hear bad things about service at dealerships, like that they charge more than an independent mechanic or a chain like Pep Boys or that they are always trying to sell you more than you need. NOT TRUE! I have never, ever been over charged (I've checked their price against the Pep Boys closer to my house a few times). Also, everyone from the service manager to the guys who drive your car up once it's done are friendly, helpful, and really willing to answer questions. Once, when my car was brought up after service I asked the young man for directions and he stood there with me for a few extra minutes, even though he probably had a ton of other things to do. I have had a few sales people come up to me while I've been waiting for my car, but they never try to push me when I tell them I'm just there for service. They usually let me be, or talk to me for a few minutes, but they never try to sell me a new car. Even though this place is a little out of the way for me (and expensive to get towed to!), I really wouldn't want to take my car anywhere else. more

Dissatisfied 9/16/2009

They never called when they said they would. They were constantly trying to up sell me even after i told them i was struggling finacially. They fixed the problem i went in for but there were new and additional problems that i discovered only after i got my car home. they placed the blame on me when i merely asked them what it could be. they neglected to tell me about simple fixes that might hurt my car in the long run that my brother had to point out to me (corrosion on the battery) Overall... I feel very unhappy with the experience. Pros: Close Cons: poor service more

What dealership does your ""FRIEND"" work for? 2/16/2008

It is a real shame that the people that write some of these review have no idea what they are talking about or they work for another""dealer ship"". There is no bases that the seveice dept takes cars on joy rides. If they were to go on joy rides it would be much easier to take a dealership car. Also they do not make money if they are not working on a car as they get paid for the cars they work on and not an hourly wage. So these rumors do not make sense at ALL... Your friend is completly wrong and needs to recant his statement as he is way off base.\r more

Beware of the service dept. 1/4/2007

A very good friend of mine told me that the mechanics at this shop take your vehicle on a ""joy ride"" while your vehicle is in their control. I was familiar with the vehicle in question and the on going service issue with her vehicle. When the problem was brought up to the sales manager, & the previous sales person who sold my friend the vehicle, they were of no use whatsoever in resolving the dispute. They were told to seek resolution with the franchise's owner. If you purchase a vehicle from these folks make sure you have it serviced elsewhere...buyer beware. Pros: Centrally located. Cons: Service Dept. will take your vehicle on a ""joy ride"" watch your odometer. more
