He has changed our Son In Law to a Zombie like person 1/6/2012

Dr Wexlar has changed our Son In Law to a Zombie like person with the puported purpose of alleviating PTSD symptoms. \r Our Son In Law has turned out after visiting Dr Wexlar over 1 year ,to be non functional in everday circumstances, and have blurry slurred speech. I would recommend that you stay away from Dr Wexlar. more

Just what friends and my doctors ordered 5/7/2011

My husband was suffering debilitating back pain from degenerative arthritis. I was referred to Dr Wexler because of his expertise managing very difficult psychiatric issues often related to other medical problems. I watched as my husband became more depressed and ultimately was told about Dr Wexler by friends and also my primary care physician. He was very kind, thorough, methodical in his assessment, collaborative with his other doctors, and committed to getting my husband relief. He advocated for a combination of medications targeting mood, anxiety, and pain and has brought back quality to my husband's existence. We are extremely grateful and can unequivocally recommend this thoughtful clinician to anyone in need. more

HE GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK! 1/1/2010

I worked with a number of other psychiatrists and did get my life back until Dr Wexler methodically treated. It took a bit of time, but I'm gainfully employed again and feel WONDERFUL!!! Worth the drive from the East Bay! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr Wexler. Pros: kind, compassionate, a master at his craft more

Dr. Wexler is the most knowledgeable, caring and sensitive MD that I have had the good fortune to find. He quickly gets to the heart of the problem. After only a few visits I was feeling like my old self. I recommend Dr. Wexler very highly. Pros: Most Knowleadgeable more

A useless doctor for an exorbitant price 11/20/2009

A useless doctor for an exorbitant price: $1500 for an initial two-hour visit, $250 for 30-min follow-ups. He could not even conduct the initial assessment interview properly - towards the end of the two-hour session he did not know key facts of my history. He engaged in socializing wasting valuable time. He also did not prescribe well for me - I had akathisia, a horrible reaction to a medication, and he was giving me semi-effective band-aids in the form of additional medications, whereas I needed to be switched to another medication (which was later done by a less expensive doctor) to get rid of akathisia. So you are paying for a posh office in Portola Valley, for a cute doggie that enters the examination room whenever it wishes (and diverts the attention of the doctor), and for feeding the huge ego of the doctor. Not worth it, let me tell you. Pros: ample parking, serene setting Cons: incompetence, price, ego (narcissistic) more
