The worst experience ever! Called to have our gas stove repaired. Was told the part would need to be rebuilt and should be ready in a week. A week goes by...no call, another week goes by...still no call. I called every day looking for an update to when it would be fixed. I have an autistic child who only eats certain foods.....and having to get take out all the time to feed him was getting a bit played out. An ENTIRE month later, they call and schedule the tech to come out....and he does.....and CAN'T fix it! Then they want to refund me by check....(I paid with my credit card). They in turn, refund me less $159 for a service call, which was never specified on my work order. If it couldn't be fixed, they should have told me that a month a go and I would have just bought a new stove. This place is a scam! Office manager is condescending and has to check ""with Dave"" for everything..... This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If I ran by business like this, I would be OUT OF BUSINESS. more

When in doubt CALL DAVE! Im am so glad i called dave when my dryer vent got clogged. My husband couldnt figure out how to do it so i had to call a professional. I started doubting it at first but once Dave rushed right over i didnt doubt myself after that. I now have a coupon from there and my cleaning will only be $89. I cant find it any cheaper that anywhere else. Im glad i can now dry my clothes again! more

Best appliance place I have called! I needed a part for my garbage disposal so I called lowe's and they told me it could take 2 weeks just to get a part! I then called Dave's to see if he would have the part and he did! I went up that day to receive my part and I left satisfied and happy with my choice! Highly recommended! more

Daves is best of philly 2011! 2/21/2012

I called Dave's because he was name the best of philly 2011. He is the most professional person that I have ever had in my home. My stove and dishwasher were both broken and he drove 2 hours to get my part because I had a party planned for my fathers birthday. I would have had to cancel the party with no stove, but Dave came through and I recomend him to anyone. Dave is great! sincerly mrs E. more

Beware of Dave's Appliance 1/8/2012

This guy is a total rip off. He charged me $729.28 to fix my coffee maker and never fixed it. Made me sign a disclosure that I was ""satisfied"" with the service BEFORE the service was done. Promised to come back many times but never showed. But he did manage to cash my check the same day I gave it to him. Do yourself a favor, get someone else to do the work for a fair price. Dave is a rip off! more

Refrigerator and Range Repair 2/18/2011

While the response for service was good, they are way overpriced. To go along with that, the practice of replacing expensive parts until you find the one that's failed seems to be how he works. more

Fantastic service, friendly and fast 1/9/2011

Dave came over and fixed my dryer over the weekend. He was in the area and called me to come over Sunday morning when they don't normally work! The service was fast and reasonably priced. I'll use Dave again. more

Overpriced 12/2/2010

While the service was good, the price for the parts were marked up 200 percent and the service fee to install it was over $100 for 45 minutes work. Never will call them again. more

Best service I ever had!!!!!!! 7/1/2010

I have 5 kids and my washer broke :( For all you moms out there you know that means piles of laundry!!! I called ""Sears"" and they told me 2 weeks!!! I called Dave's and Dave was here in 2 hours!!! Clean cut totaly professional!! I will never call anyone else ever again!! Pros: Had the Parts with them!!! more

Great service 4/28/2010

I called Daves to come out and fix my dryer. I called after hours and left a message with a answering service, I received a call back in fifteen minutes!! I was put on the schedual for the next day! The tech called at 8am to say that he was on his way(my timeframe was 7-9am) The tech quickly found the problem with the dryer and showed me the part that had burnt out and explained to me why it had done so! He was able to fix the dryer on the spot! He put the dryer back together and now it works like new!! Great Service!! Pros: Promt and professional Cons: none more

I won't call Dave's again! 3/15/2010

He might be able to fix anything, but the customer service sucks! My microwave door latch broke, and the microwave was about 4 years old. So I took it to Dave's to see if it was worth fixing or buying a new one. They charged me $30 to look at it. They call me back and tell me that it will be an extra $40 and a week. One month later, I go in to pick it up and they tell me my balance is $90 on top of the $30. I could have bought a new microwave for that money! When I complained about it, the boss there told me if I didn't like it, leave the microwave, he'll take out the parts and give it back to me. I went ahead paid for it and said I wouldn't be coming back and the receptionist called me an explicit name. I am sorry, but if you quote me a price, you fix it for that price! Yeah, he might be able to fix anything, but don't expect good customer service or kindness! Cons: horrible customer service more

The Best Appliance Repair in Town 9/18/2009

So today my refridgerator decided it felt like taking a break on me. My Frigidare Refridgerator stop getting cold, so ALL the food in my Refridgerator was going bad. I called three companies to find out witch one could come out first. Not only did Daves Appliance have the first available time to come out they had the cheapest rate to come out and diagnose the problem. They were here between the time frame that i was givin and were only here about 25 minutes and my refridgerator was up and running again. And Thank God it was because I had a big dinner to make only a couple hours later. I give this company 5 stars because they seemed to be the only company that could get this done in a timely fashion and the most willing to help me out. I reccomend this company to anyone. Dont judge a company untill you try it Pros: Reliable, Genuine, Quick and Efficent Cons: none :) more

I LOVED Dave's! They came out to fix our refridgerator and it was unfixable! So, they gave us a refridgerator that worked and it was practically brand new! Still works and using it today! I would recommend them! They helped me out! lol more

Call anyone BUT Dave's Appliance. They show up if & when they feel like it, they don't stand behind their work, if they fix something & it breaks a few months later, they will not honor their warranty. They are rude, arrogant, and downright psychopathic. They have no concept of what customer service is, and don't care to correct that. They double bill, and do not return calls when questions with regard to overpayment occur. They overcharge....and unfortunately if you make a mistake & do overpay, you're out of luck! Don't make the same mistake I made....CALL SOMEONE REPUTABLE!!! NOT, I REPEAT, NOT, DAVE'S APPLIANCE!!! more

WOW! WOW! WHAT A GREAT COMPANY. I CALLED DAVE'S ON A SUNDAY AFTER NOON LEFT A MESSAGE AND DAVE HIMSELF CALLED ME BACK! I TOLD HIM MY FRIGE WAS LEAKING WATER ALL OVER MY NEW WOODEN FLOORS...HE CAME TO MY HOUSE IN LESS TWENTY MINUTES. DAVE FIXED MY FRIGE IN ABOUT AN HOUR AND MY NEW FLOORS WERE SAVED!! HIS PRICE WAS REALLY REASONABLE AND HE WAS SO INFORMATIVE. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH DAVE! I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO EVERYONE. WOW WHAT A GREAT GUY! NO WONDER HES BEEN IN BUSINESS 26 YEARS!!!! I CALLED DAVE'S APPLIANCE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT BECAUSE MY REFRIGERATOR WAS DOWN. THE GIRL IN THE OFFICE WERE SO HELPFULL IN SETTING UP MY APPOINTMENT! DAVE HIMSELF ARRIVED WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME STATED!!! DAVE HAD THE PARTS ON HIS TRUCK AND WAS ABLE TO REPAIR MY REFRIGERATOR ON THE SPOT!! DAVE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN WHAT HE DOES AND HAS VERY FAIR PRICING!! I WOULD RECOMEND DAVE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS APPLIANCE REPAIR!!!! GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!! more

A very bad experience for me! 12/10/2008

I am very sorry I ever contacted this contractor. I perceive him to be dishonest, unethical, incompetent, and rude in his dealings with me. I had to hire a different repair person to get the work done properly. Through this process, I formulated my opinion of Dave's unprofessional behavior twords me.
