I was really excited to work with Dave. Such a personable guy who seemed like he did great work. Once we saw the outcome of our engagement photos, we knew something was off. He prides himself on still using film, so he is" forced to capture good pictures"...well that def didn't happen with us. We are not an ugly couple by any means but this pictures would never prove that. He took them at terrible angles! The camera literally added 10lbs, double chins, terrible lighting etc. We paid him about $400 for only 36 film pictures. Only one of them was worthy to call "good". He hands us an unedited cd of pics and a box of unedited printed pics. This is what we payed for? $400 for pictures of my fiance with his eyes closed? Wait-he now wants $60/hour to edit them for us. While he was sitting there with my fiance, it took him 1 hours just to enhance the color and change a really small portion of a shirt. We knew right then that all he really wanted was more money. He didn't care that we didn't like the photos. What mattered to him is that he had some more pics for his portfolio. If only his soon-to-be customers can see what we look like in everyday life and then look at his pics, they'll realize he did a terrible job. We asked him kindly for our money back and he can have everything back he gave us. He told us he couldn't refund us the money because he already spent it on rent and had no money to give us. Ironic, seeing that every time he called us up, he was out to eat with his family. Now we are in the hole $400 with no pictures for announcements, invitations or anything! Oh and in the end, he blamed us for not taking good pictures. Please learn from our mistake and don't make one of your own!
