I had a consult with Mr. Gordon recently. He seemed decent the beginning of our meeting and I proceeded to open up about personal information that was relevant to my case (even though it is very personal)...I told him I had tried to commit suicide in the past. He wanted detail so I explained what happened and told him it was by an overdose. He had the nerve to say "Does anyone really die from an overdose?" "I believe you are only seeking attention!" I could not believe what I was hearing. Many people have died this way...unfortunately. I told him that attention was the last thing I wanted as I just wanted the pain to end...at that time. I told him he can't treat people this way as there are so many in my shoes that need help and not to be judged. I offered him a list of people who have died this way! Attention? Are you kidding me? Mr. Gordon, you should use your platform to help others not to judge and disregard. I have a friend who is comatose from an overdose a few months ago. Would you consider that a successful suicide or just an attempt? My cousin died from a gunshot to the head by his own hands...back in the 90's. Was he successful enough for you? more
