My Dogs have been seen there 7 yrs. But I had the most marvelous experience on 6-6-06. My Dads dog was hit by a car. He didn't appear to be serious, so we chose to see her in the morning. She evaluated, and asked me to leave him so she could evaulate him fully. The hip was blown out , the ball was shattered. She said he needed surgery to take care of the hip, she called me during surgery and said it was worse than she expected, she could take the leg or try something that was still experimental. I said Wendy - you are the expert here! You know what you are looking at, do what you would do if it were your dog. When I went to pick up the dog, I did not know if he would be 3 or 4 legged. She saved the leg - but he did not learn to stop chasing the deer. All under $300. She may not have all the whistles and bells a new vet would have, but she gets an A. If she feels that she cannot help - she'll tell you and recommend you to someone that she has confidence in. And PS about dogs and aspirin. Maybe you should have purchased enteric coated aspirin 81mg it is used for dogs for arthritus and other pain. But weather man or animal - we were not meant to live on drugs!!!
