I recently starting working in the area and decided to try the place out this past Friday night. First off, I'd like to say that the food was good. I had an awesome mac and cheese. Drinks were good too. Bartender and bar crowd seemed cool. My problem was the waitress. She was a slightly stocky woman with black curly hair who acted bothered by the mere act of serving us. She was terse and even rolled her eyes when asked for something. The other waitress was very nice. Wished we had her serving us. Food is good, but keep your fingers crossed for a nicer waitress. more

Charming, friendly and a great menu 7/3/2006

Used to work just around the corner from Dano and have found it to be consistently good. excellent and varied menu that is suitable for lunch and dinner, comfortable and rather romantic tables. the BEST goat cheese tart in the city. excellent attentive service and great value. i will continue to go back often. Terrific Tuna, Terrific Time! 5/10/2005

Great Time, Great Tunes, and Greatest of all was the Tuna. My mouth is still watering. I think I need another Margarita, but which flavor? I couldn't decide which was better the Pomegranite or the regular. I laughed with the staff who did a great job, and added more flavor to the place. Will come back again and again. more

Save your money 4/1/2005

Just moved into the area, decided to try it. The staff was very unfriendly and was doing me a favor by waiting on me. The food was sub par, and it was a bit overpriced. I was really hoping for a good neighborhood spot, this isn't it. more

a great night out! 3/11/2004

wonderful evening! i brought a group of people after work for margaritas and nachos at the bar. people wound up ordering dinner, and it was great to have everthing from salads and filet mignon on the menu. the atmosphere was fun and cozy. and it didn't break the bank. definitely will come back. Pros: great selection, convenient location, fun bar scene more

lovely and delicious evening 3/11/2004

My wife and I stopped by for a couple of martinis and were so pleased with the menu that we decided to stay. The sea bass was wonderful, as were the starters and chocolate bread pudding. And I had a terrific salmon dish. A really nice surprise in the neighborhood. Pros: warm service, excellent food more

Great Restaurant 7/11/2002

I live a block away from Dano, and go there a few times per month for dinner, or meet up with people for drinks there. Saturday evenings are a good time to go, and brunch on Sunday is really good. Great wine selection, and friendly staff. I highly recommend Dano! Pros: great wine, great staff, atmosphere Cons: crowded on Friday more
