Horrible food! 10/19/2008

Honestly they should be ashamed of themselves. We tried the place on 5 different occasions giving it a fair chance since it was fairly new at the time and still working out the details. I've had better greek food at street fairs than at the Dancing Greek. The service is so, so at best. People seem to enjoy the entertainment on the weekends but I really doubt that they've ever had good greek food if they consider this to be comparable. It's very unfortunate. This town could really use a good greek option but unfortunately this isn't it. \r \r On top of the bad food and service the decor is very cheesy too.. The cheap floating hardwood floors are literally floating, and moving around under your feet. For the longest time you had to use a cloth hanger that was bent many direction just in order to open the front door. They've got bad fake stone randomly thrown on the half entrance wall.. All in all, unless you are looking for poor service, bland food, and cheesy decor, this is a bad greek experience. Not that it helps but the bar area is the only area that seems like someone put some work into it..\r \r Sorry, I had high hopes but this doesn't cut it at all. more

Best baba ganoush This side of the world... 1/1/2008

This delightlful restaurant has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Truly scrumptious food. Too many delicious dishes to describe, BUT the baba ganoush IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Such a smokey flavor, so deep and intense. I never fail to take some home with me afterwards.\r \r Only one warning. If you eat at 7pm...be prepared to dance, as when the Dancing Greek's live Belly Dancing show beings they WILL insist that you stand and join the dance line. We try to make excuses...but really, should we?\r \r Dancing greek serves beer and wine and a few faux cocktails. We anxiously await full bar service. A DO NOT MISS when you visit our community. Pros: Best service, really authentic music, decor. Most delicious food in the Desert Area. Cons: May be forced to enjoy yourselves during greek dancing...but is that really a 'con'? more

Great atmosphere, Greek dancing show in the evening and terrific, authentic Greek fare 10/30/2007

Met by the door by the owner who opened this delightful restaurant with her husband in Spring, 2007, I found out, after they moved from LA. There were four of us and we each ordered a different dish to share. Whether it was lamb, beef, pork, or kebab, everything was meticulously cooked with love and all of noticed the delicateness in the preparation. Nice that our soda drinks were refilled free before we could even ask. The yogurt/cucumber appetizer & baklava were also delightful, as was the hot pita and hummus. The espresso topped off a a great experience, as these Seattle area visitors were thanked by the owner upon leaving. \r I hope this restaurant is well patronized by the locals & visitors alike. This type of place is a jewel. more
