Dalva is sort of the best of both worlds -- a solid unpretentious beer bar that's perfect for an after work drink, but with an edge. The lighting is dark and cozy, the jukebox is solid and the little back room provides a quieter spot to catch up with your people and sip some drinks. No food provided here, but they happily welcome food from outside, so bring along a slice of pizza from nearby Arinell's (around the corner on Valencia) or take out from any of the great restaurants on the block.
