This man it one of the true pros out there. Doesn't like to talk only because he gets so wrapped up in to his work. I love that he charges by the piece not the hour. His work is the best out there. I do consider him to be one of the best portrait tattooist in the world. I have a tat from Corey Miller and Da Wei's is so much better. Well worth every penny. more

This place seemed great for my first tattoo I got a few years ago. I walked in without an appointment for a consultation with Da Wei to discuss the size and price of my piece, and left with an appointment for my tattoo to be done by Lily. It was a clean place, a hygienic process, and Lily was very friendly and helpful. I was happy with my tattoo when I left, but when I went back for a touch up for the ink I had lost when I had an allergic reaction to the aftercare creme I was told to use, I was disappointed and have been ever since. The ink colours don't match, even though Lily told me that after a while the colours would blend together (which they never did) so now I have a two-tone black tattoo. What has made me the most upset is that my design was original and one of a kind (I designed it myself) and a year later, I see someone else with my same exact tattoo. I've never has any tattoo before. I was anxious, I was nervous. I asked around. A lot of people referred me to Dawei & Lily Tattoo on El Camino. So I went, to meet them. Lily, she is the sweetest lady I've ever encountered. She was patient. She showed me the designs. She gave me ideas. The price is so resonable for the time she had spent on me. I have many tats. Most are from the best in the business. Da Wei is the best around. I traveled to LA and Atlanta to get my tats and i could have done it in the Bay Area all along. He isn't like other tattooist. Not as peppy and talkative. But he is all about his job and since it is on your body for life I am all about that. Don't get me wrong he is a great guy, but he totally gets in to his work and nothing around to distract him at all. One thing you better think about doing is get it where people can see it, cause your going to be proud of it and going to show it off. My Tat is incredible and it isn't even done yet. I have two more settings He is a little expensive but totally worth it. It is on you forever so might as well get the best around. He does charges by the job not the hour. So i have 3 appointments and it is already paid for. Great way to do it. \r \r If you want one of the best around you better do it fast cause i can't see him sticking around to long with his talent. Maybe my experience with them is different from others, of course, it all depends. But for a good service oriented business, don't you think they ought to always be consistent with their attitudes? I didn't even make it inside. I called to inquire and one of the ladies was hurried, wouldn't give me any kind of idea of their prices. I had to basically force it out of her. Finally she said she was in the middle of something and had to go. \r She just lost about $200 with me because I am not ever going there. First Impressions do make a difference. more

My friends and I went here to get piercings and my friend to get a tattoo. The needles and jewelry were all in unopened packages, so that was nice. The artists didn't intimidate us like other stores that I have been to. It was a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and the work was high quality. Also the prices are not bad. more
