Isnt it amazing that all the people that claim they got their money never write back. This company sucks and should be punished for telling people they can get a loan when they know there scammers. The economy sucks and these people at Dand K have made our hopes of getting loans completely wrong. Someone needs to do something and why is it taking so long to shut these guys down!!!! more

im from Dallas and D&K closed their head branch in Texas back in 1992. They moved head office to Missouri back in the 90's. They're in the private sector like most banks. They are license through the chamber of commerce however not the bbb. BBB isn't a government bureau so they dont need to be registered with them. I had to co-sign on a loan for my daughter back in September 2010. i wasnt gonna do it until i did my research first and a part from a couple of minor complaints, they checked out. so my daughter received her loan within a week. I work for Bank of America so nothing they're doing is FRAUDULENT! Some people are just really upset because they didnt qualify for whatever reason, decides to be ignorant to the facts, and start trash talking the companys good rep. They provide legitimate loans for everyone under the sun. Just make sure you have all your credentials in line and if you have bad credit don't expect to get feed with a silver spoon! more

I'm Hayden L. from Downing, MO. I'm taking some crash courses and applied for a personal loan to cover my tuition for both semesters. My loan was for 14,000 with an interest rate of 7.5%. They managed to get me a approval with citi financial but the interest was way too high and the payments were like almost 450.00 a month so I declined. The broker i was dealing with found me a private lender with a lower interest rate(7.5%) and a term that i could afford. Since i had no assets and i'm a partime hair dresser, I took out liability insurance protection for the loan. The insurance company requested a lot of info from me as well as I had to fill out and sign a bunch of forms to get the full approval. My premium was almost 700.00 (because I don't have the best of credit reports) which i paid yesterday morning. They did direct deposit into my moms account. It only took like a couple hours. Message to College applicants, i recommend applying at D&K cause they are ""student"" friendly thats for sure. The ""high profiled"" banks are not lending and don't care about our education! FYI D&K isn't a scam! The broker who helped me was really nice and in my eyes did what she could to get me my student loan. more

Look D&K is definitely not a scam. I got approved for a personal loan for $20k . Most of the problems we encountered throughout our process was mainly issues with the insurance company. i provided a premium of $!,450.00 on Wednesday 23rd and received my loan by Friday morning via direct deposit. I also have a couple of other friends that has received loans through D&K Finance. One of my friends received a loan back in 2006 and they asked her to do the same thing to send an additional payment because the insurance company took issue with something that had to do with her year 2000 bankruptcy. I remember cause i had to lend her the money for it. So i know they're not a scam. Banks will always have a shady side to them but to label them a scam is factually not true. If they we're a scam i wouldn't have received my loan nor would my friend back in 2006. Bottom line. more

So... i too fell into this. I was approved immediately and called and started the process. was told i needed a $550 deposit for insurance. Paid it immediately after work and faxed over my contract. Funds were supposed to be in my account the following morning... nothing. Then was told that i needed an additional $450 for the insurance. My father and I discussed it and decided to go ahead with it... the funds were supposed to be in my account within an hour... i had an appointment that night to sign and lease and put down a deposit for an apartment (an emergency move is the original reason for taking out the loan)... sure enough the funds werent there. I called and spoke with rick (who is an a$$hole by the way) who said to call him back in 10 and he'd have an answer to the problem... called back and HE LEFT for the night... leaving me SOL. the next morning... still no funds. Then i was told that the ""deposit system"" was down and they mailed a check... regular mail. Seems a little odd to me that you would send a check for 5K+ regular mail... not certified, fedex overnight (which is what the other option other than DD was originally) or anything trackable... supposedly the check will be here monday... we shall see, i'm doubting it. I rescheduled the appointment at the apartment complex and also scheduled an appointment with an attorney for Monday evening at the same time. We'll see which one gets cancelled, but my father, husband and I will be suing the pants off these people if the check does not arrive... or bounces, which i'm thinking is also a viable option. more

Gosh, these are a lot of reviews. I guess I should tell my story about D and K Finance in Hannibal. I took a loan out to helpp my grand kids, I was approved with d and k. The amount i wont disclosed. I knew my credit wasnt the prettest gyal in the bar, so I knew I had to make some sort of deposit. I made my insurance payment and got my loan in 30 mins. My grand kids tuition are both now up to date thanks to them. I would like to thank you again D and K.. I'm glad to see I made a contribution in my grand kids lives more

I had doubts about this company and making payments to secure a loan. But I had my mother look into it with her attorney, and he gave us the thumbs up. He said make sure I get some sort of confirmation of the payment, which I did from D and K Finance. more

I too have good things to say about this company. They were professional and polite. They didnt look down on me, like these other loan companies I have dealt with in the past.I was told my money would be in my account immediately after I made my insurance payment and it was. OMG!!!! I was sooo scared. I sent in my money on monday before I read these reviews. I started crying, because I really needed the money to pay for a medical bill. The next day I checked my account and the money was there....SHOCKKINGLY!!!!, I then called and told my daddy, who was on his way to speak to a lawyer. more

I worked for this company for 4 years.Until they changed management and the new jerkoffs laid a bunch of us off. The one thing I can say, is the employees there are great, the hours there asked to pull off and the quality assurance program they have to go through each month is back breaking. more

I THEN CONTACTED UNION MO POLICE OFFICER STATED THE REAL D AND K FINANCE CLOSED 1 1/2 YEARS AGO. THERES OTHERS USING THE NAME . PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. I didnt get scamed, I called the better business bureau confirmed they are a real, legal company. It took me 4 days to get my loan. I couldnt find a co signer so I made they insurance deposited of $500 as well more

I called d and k and they said I needed to make a payment with with Mack insurance to secure my loan. I then called mack and they said said once I make the payment of $603.97 my funds will then be sent out to me right away. After 1hr I then called D and k and they said my funds have already been deposited. I checked my account and it was there, confirmed with my bank, so I was pretty satisfied more

I thought there service was superb and fast. It took me 72 hours to recieve my loan in the mail. Which I didnt get any hassles cashing it more
