D&E Counseling Center is a behavior health treatment organization, specializing in child, adolescent and family care. The Center has provided services to children and families since 1970. The mental health services include office-, school- and home-based, individual, group and family counseling. The center also provides assessment and diagnosis, 24-hour emergency counseling, psychiatric services, community support services, and therapeutic recreation at the Camp Challenge facility. Community support workers serve as advocates for children and their families, and identify and coordinate needed services, as well as monitor the quality of care provided. The Camp Challenge facility provides summer therapeutic recreational services and after-school programs.
