Staff is friendly and helpful 10/29/2012

I really love the books being sold here. They exhibit and let the costumers open the books and the staff is friendly and helpful. I?ll be beginning my book-wormy journey here! more

Great store with lots of selection and friendly staff 5/9/2006

this store is great. It's a used bookstore but the selection is so huge. it has everything and something for everyone for sure! Take time to browse through the store as new stuff comes in often. It has common titles as in regular book store and it also get common reads in a lot. It also have a lot of hard to find and if you are looking for something in particular, the staff are very nice and helpful. The enviornment is cozy and a lot of people coming in just to read and browse so you won't feel pressured that you have to buy in order to come in here. more

Great store for "treasure hunting" 11/10/2005

This is the type of store you would find if you looked up "Used Bookstore" in the dictionary. Large selection of used books in one of the only store fronts that has remained the same on the Grand River strip in EL for the past 20+ years. It's fun to go and spend some time brousing all the interesting titles. more

Great little find!! 11/7/2005

This books store is really one of a kind. You cant find anything like it. I love the atmosphere, you feel like you are in another world in here. They offer all the latest books, but you can also find old, rare, and really neat books. The staff there have always been warm and friendly. I would reccomend this book shop to anyone stopping thru East Lansing! more

Incredible store ! 9/20/2005

This is such a great store. There is such a huge slection, including alot of books that you may not be able to find anywhere else along with your obvious new releases and popular books. The owner is a great guy and hesa always in the store and is ready to help. Its such a cozy shop and is much better than the bigger chain stores. PROS: Selection is huge ! Friendly cozy atmosphere. CONS: Chain stores probably have lower prices on new release books. more

The best in used books 9/9/2005

This store is an East Lansing institution, and *the* place to go for used books. While they stock the usual selection of sci-fi, romance, bestsellers and so on, they also carry distinctive titles like old-fashioned pulp fiction and magazine issues from the fifties and sixties. The staff has always been friendly, and while I've never tried to sell books to them, I've heard that they're honest and fair. Make sure to allow lots of time for your visit because the best way to shop is to browse your way to a great find. more
