Mixed bag - questionable service 10/18/2008

It's nice to have an Italian place out in these parts but this place is really a mixed bag. It's primarily the service, I've gone about a half a dozen times in groups as small as 4 up to larger groups of 10+ I recall going there midweek for dinner and the server forgot the bread until we asked for it. I like the balsamic vinegar with my bread but the server acted like I was asking for the moon. Refills on drinks aren't brought until requested even for water. I know some of my friends love it but I'd rather go to Cornerstone Cafe for good food. Pros: parking, something different Cons: service more

Best Italian food found!! 1/29/2008

My husband & I love Italian food. We decided to try Crostini Grille. We met friends on a Saturday night. The service was awesome!! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. My husband ordered the tuscan pork chops and fell in love. I ordered the crostini special, which was full of wonderful flavors. Our friends order the jambalya which is slightly spicy, but very good. The atmosphere was very unique and special. Very different from your local chains. Our entrees arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Overall, we are definately going back!! Great atmosphere and staff 1/27/2008

We had the ""meet the parents"" dinner at Crostini and it couldn't have gone better. They sat us a table next to the fireplace. The menu is extensive so the server made recommendations and the manager came over to help us pick a wine that everyone would like with their meal. My soon to be mother-in-law is so picky, so when they could alter her meal to meet her needs it really made me feel better. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who lives on the far west side of the cities. Pros: staff seemed to know everything more

Burnt Food, poor manamgement 1/10/2008

A group of eight of us went to Crostini's on 12-31-07. Pros: Nothing. Cons: Burnt Food, Cold Food, Horrible owner, can't funtion on busy nights. more

Best recipes outside the twin cities! 11/27/2005

This restaurant has consistent, homemade food. It specializes in italian cusine, but has very good fresh salmon, and other ""entree"" type food. Strong beer and Wine only. more
