The Mirage at Las Vegas 4/12/2006

The Mirage at Las Vegas, located conveniently on The Strip, has one of the best free shows in Vegas. With music playing loud enough to be heard for blocks, water spouts shoot water high enough to reach the top of the hotel roof, all while being synchronized to the music. The water show is performed several times a night, so on those nights in Vegas when you are just strolling down Las Vegas Blvd looking for stuff to do, there's a good chance that the water show will go off while you're nearby. more

Awesome Hotel 9/25/2005

I have stayed at many hotels in Las Vegas, and this one is one of my favorites. The rooms..even the normal non suite rooms seem spacious with decent amenities. You can get a view of the volcano, which is so pretty at night!! The buffet is really great! I think one of the best. The pool area is large with several pools and a lazy river to float around in. Go!! more

wow 8/29/2005

While the erupting volcano/waterfal out front that made this placce famous a few years ago noow pales in comparison to all the other free ballyhoo proovided by the mega casinos in Vegas, and those two tiger boys noo longer run the show anymoore, there is much more this place has to ooffer. Try a zoo for example, coomplete with white tigers, an elephant, primates and dolphins. Or its varioous loounges and restaurants . The casinoo itself is a bit dark, but not claustrophobic like some others on the sstrip. more

Great hotel and casino! 8/18/2005

The Mirage is a beautiful hotel with lots of entertainment to offer. Outside you will find a volcano that erupts throughout the day. You will hear and see the eruption happening. Inside you may choose to see the Danny Gans show. He is a great entertainer and fun to watch. Soon there will be another Cirque de Soleil show playing there. more

The Mirage 8/5/2005

The Mirage Hotel and Casino is located right next to the Treasure Island Casino. It's the one with the volcano show every half hour, complete with flames and the whole deal! Inside, the Mirage is fabulous. Once you step inside, you can instantly tell that this is a high class casino. The interior decor is awesome and eye catching. The restaurants here are great as well. The Mirage also has a very nice selection of shops to choose from. Although a bit pricey, you can get some very nice things here. more

Version two: More on Lost Wages (Las Vegas) 4/26/2005

According to my husband, the Mandalay Bay is a very nice, mid-range place to stay. The food is very good, they have a cool private pool with a sandy beach and waves (possibly an "adult" pool) and a nice sports book (if you're wanting to bet on your favorite team). Its also towards the end of the strip so it is a little quieter but there is a tram running up and down and it can get you right into the action. Ditto on the Belaggio being the ultimate in Swank and the Hard Rock is THE place to see and be seen. more

Bright red, orange and green striped carpeting is combined with red tables and a shiny metal ceiling to create an energetic dining area. Flat-screen televisions play cooking shows from around the world, while chefs prepare meals in front of you at each of the 11 stations arranged around the room's perimeter. Each station provides a sampling of international cuisine--ranging from a raw bar to dim sum, bruschetta bread to rotisserie chicken.
