You suddenly are having a craving above and beyond what any deparment store can offer. You need to partake in some serious nesting activity for your home or appartment and you want to shop somewhere that inspries you with pretty colors and artistically arranged idealized home setting displays. You want to buy kitchen gadgets you don't need often but will love for years. Crate & Barrel is the place for you. more

Fun and Functional 5/21/2006

When I was dragged here with my visiting aunt and uncle as a kid, I didn’t get the fuss. Now I do: brightly colored, tasteful homewares with good design. The prices are reasonable (no Pottery Barn extortion here) and the sales are excellent. This location has two stories and is fun to poke around in. Chaotic at Christmas, but you expected that. more

My favorite Crate and Barrel 4/2/2006

I couldn’t wait to get married so I could come here and register for these white and blue striped mixing bowls that they displayed in the window. I used to walk by and admire them (I’m a little bit of a cooking fanatic), though I didn’t go in frequently since I carried a large backpack at the time and was afraid of knocking over one of the many displays of precariously stacked glassware. On the times I did go in, I was impressed with the selection, the quality of the merchandise and the high level of customer service I received. more

good place for house furnishing 9/13/2005

Crate & Barrel doesn't sell just crates and barrels. You can find an entire assortment of stylish merchandise for your house or home. The prices here won't break your wallet. Location is a bit off the T station so you are in for a walk. more
