European Elegance for those who loves Unique Places 5/12/2008

We went for dinnner last Sunday. I ordered crabcakes, my date ordered a pepper crusted salmon served on a bed of delicious greens and mango salad. We ordered an appetizer: crab rolls with a fresh radish chutney, and a side of garlic rice. Complimentary shrimp chips. The food(smaller portions) and the atmosphere(elegant servereware) was European. The walking part of the floor in the middle of the restaurant is trasparent to reveal an underneath aquarium with Japanese fish, you can actually feed the fish at the entry of the restaurant. This place is unique, not cheap, you should definetely try it if you want to experience a differrent setting. We did not try any deserts because we planned to pick up a box of pastries made by famous Victor Benes bakery (originated in Bellagio Las Vegas) in near by Gelson's market. Pros: Beautiful Ambience, a place to impress Cons: A bit expensive, expect smaller portions more

Aoid at all cost.s!!! 4/16/2007

The restaurant's decor is nice, but that's about it. I was told by the waiter that The Crab Cove shares the same architect who designed the restaurant Crustaceanin Beverly Hills. I think the owner tried to copy Crustacean with its "Euro-Vietnamese design featuring the now famous "Walk on Water" entrance ", but definately wasn't succesful, when comparing the food. I had my mouth watered for the whole dungeness crab with garlic noodles. And my mother ordered the lobster tail. Both shellfish entrees were not fresh and undercooked. I would not reccomend this restaurant unless you were only going for drinks. Pros: Good selection of wine Cons: The Food more

One of the best of Orange County, especially the seafood! 6/30/2006

This is one of the best of Orange County. All of the food, especially the seafood is extremely fresh. The flavors combine subtle and delicate with intense. The crab cakes are made of mostly fresh crab meat and very little bread crumb and served with a sauce that compliments them perfectly. The prawns served with garlic noodles are melt in the mouth delicious, with a mix of the delicate butter grilled flavor of the prawns and a more intense garlic and spice flavors of the noodles. This dish is heartier than it appears, so you may have to take part of it to go. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and presentation. If you are looking for a bargain, try happy hour Monday-Thursday with half price drinks and appetizers. The atmosphere is calming and enchanting with a mesmarizing built in the floor coy fish aquariam, and waterfall pillars. The service was great, friendly, and informative. Ask for Carlos from Brazil. He's awesome. Pros: Quality, freshness, and flavor of food Cons: Prices are not cheap but reasonable for the quality more

Don't Recommend 11/16/2004

Knock-off of Crustacean of Beverly Hills from dishes and presentation to interior of restaurant. A martini will set you back $20 bucks. Entrees alacart and small portions. Quality of food mediocre. Short staffed, bad service. Recommend going to some other restaurant to 'burn your money'. Bad acoustics in small space, noisy. Cons: , Poor Quality Food, Noisy/Cramped more
