Cooks Kitchen the

The Cook's Kitchen has a long history in Vails Gate. It used to be next to Caldor's, when that was still open. This store has long had an assortment of gourmet cookware and other gadgets, in addition to gift items such as pottery, jewelry and other things. This is the place I come to when I need to buy a gift for the "hard to please" woman. I can always find something. Their gift wrapping is beautiful and makes a real impression when you give the gift you bought at the Cook's Kitchen. more

Step inside this shop and you'll forget that you're on busy Windsor Highway near a shopping center. It is light, airy and stocked with all kinds of upscale, housewares, jewelry, chic kids clothes and home accessory items. This store is a great place to shop for yourself or for a special gift. They carry an unusual selection of items and I never come out of there empty handed. On a recent visit, I picked up some new coffee mugs, aromatic scented candles, and a handknit cap and scarf. Their kitchen department is exceptionally well stocked for a small store and they have all kinds of gadgets--perfect for the cook in your life. You can also find exotic teas, spices, great candles, funky notecards, and beautiful, unusual jewelry. In addition, they have the most wonderful selection of chic children's clothes, books, items for newborns, and toys. Check out this little jewel of a shop. more
