I used to be employed at Consignment City. This place was the worst. Their business practices were horrid. People who were owed money for consigning NEVER got it. Checks were always "In the mail" Most of the items came from storage facilities that were unpaid for. The clothing wasn't washed instore. Items were WAY overpriced. Thats why the one on Centerville closed. HAHA more

A big pile or rubbish 9/13/2005

Consignment City is nothing but overpriced trash. I am amazed at the things they accept to consign and it seems that they never comb through old inventory and pull the things that aren't bought. And a word to the wise...I consigned over $100 in maternity clothing and although they say my checks have been mailed to me, I have yet to recieve a single penny. Seller Beware! This place is a joke more

Odd and Overpriced 8/21/2005

This is the strangest consignment shop I have ever been to. There's not one thing in the entire store that I'd consider buying. I mean, if you're looking for a twenty year old television or a half used can of hairspray (seriously!), this might be a good place to go. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and steer clear. The clothes section is for the most part a bunch of worn out Kmart clothing, and the furniture is way too overpriced for its condition to be anything but a joke. I used to go into this store every once in awhile just to see if they finally had something worthwhile, but lately I've given up. Avoid at all costs! more

Unusual rarities and great vintage finds! 7/21/2005

Consignment City has so many awesome things to look at and explore. They have an amazing collection of rare and vintage furniture, record players, decorative items, and dishes. Their clothing and toy selection is also really impressive. The best thing about Consignment City is that you never know what you'll find, and every time I go I find something new and different. Overall, their prices are fair but sometimes you find things that are a little bit overpriced. Be sure to check out the glass counter near the back where they keep the extra rare and valuable things. A really fun place to visit and shop! more
