I dropped a laptop motherboard off on a Thur to have a new charging port soldered on. I provided them the port and board, pretty simple job I just don't know how to solder. The guy at the counter said ""a day or two"", 8 Days later I called in because I hadn't heard from them. He said they didn't have it done but it would be by the end of the day (Friday).
I show up Sat afternoon and once they located my equipment they said ""they didn't do anything too it"". I was shocked, I need this computer for a week long trip on Monday and now I can't get it fixed in time. It looks like they may have tried to remove the old port but didn't know what to do.
The 2 men there had many excuses from ""I haven't been here all week"" that's why It took so long, ""I tested it and it was getting a charge"" (I wasn't bringing them the board for troubleshooting, all they needed to do was remove the old port and put the new one on). Once I asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge the kid told me ""I wasn't going to be welcome back there"" basically if I didn't deal with their excuses.
Poor communication and customer service, also can't follow instructions.
