I had been looking for a new car. I visited a number of dealers; I called each dealer beforehand. Most would not discuss what sort of deal they could be willing to make up front. I called up Commonwealth Motors and talked to a gentleman named Craig ( or is it Greg) Clarke, who told me the absolute lowest price they would be willing to offer me. I was surprised to find that the cost was less than the at cost price you see at most online research websites for the trim of the vehicle I purchased ( Honda Civic 4 dr Sedan, auto, VP). To my surprise I did not complete the deal with Clarke, but with a salesperson, Luis Cruz. Luis was probably not to happy that I had gotten a quote for that specific trim from Clarke, but I think it's the separation of the Salesperson that allowed me to negotiate a deal that I was happy with in the end. Luis helped with the sale of course, taking me for a test drive and answering my questions regarding maintenance. Hopefully I will not have to purchase another car soon, but the next time I do so I will give commonwealth motors serious consideration, if they remain upfront about how much they'll charge for a vehicle. I've had my car for just over a month, and I'm completely satisfied! Pros: No Games, Good Price, Excellent Service Cons: none yet. more

I dropped my car in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. saved my time. shuttle bus service is convenient. Waiting room is clean with TV, magazine, coffee and refreshment. Service is friendly. I recently had my car serviced at Commonwealth. It was a great experience, as always. My 2 boys, ages 6 & 4, actually enjoy going with me. I love my new Honda Fit! Funny thing was that I didn't even go into Commonwealth to buy a new car, but after shopping other dealerships I realized I could buy brand new for the same as used . I strike a hard bargain, but Lance,my salesman was very patient with me. In the end I happily drove out not spending one dime more than I had planned from the beginning. That is not true of other places, for one place tried to sell me a car with 9000 miles as brand new! So, I am a happy camper! Ketih Audy at Commonwealth KIA really made buying a car an enjoyable experience. From the moment I met him at the dealership he was very helpful and was able to answer all of my questions about the 2010 KIA Forte that I was interested in. He was able to find me the car that I wanted in the color I wanted at a price I could afford. I got a great deal on my trade in. A couple thousand more than what KBB quoted. Paperwork was done quickly, unlike my past experiences at other dealerships. The car was delivered spotless and they even waiting until the last minute (8pm) for me to get there from out of town to pick up the car. Thanks a lot guys! I purchased my Honda Fit a few years ago from Herb Chambers and what a mistake that was. I will never do business with them ever again. The first time I had my Fit serviced at Commonwealth I told the service rep Susan who helped me out that if i could do it all over again I would have bought my car from Commonwealth. Not only are the sales people friendly but the service department is friendly and fast. Lastly I dont even mind waiting for my car to be serviced since the waiting room always has coffee, donuts and a movie!!! Love Commonwealth Motors and I will never go anywhere else. I took my Chevy Malibu in for the first oil change after buying my new car at this dealership. It was a great experience--the staff were friendly & helpful. They took my car right in and finished before their anticipated time. There are two nice waiting areas to sit while you wait for your car. I'll be bringing my Malibu back for all of its maintenance! I Came in for an inspection sticker and when I arrived I asked if they would also be able to accommodate me and do an oil change. And I didn't even have an appointment ahead of time - they said they could without hesitation. I so appreciated that I wouldn't need to make 2 trips! The Service Managers, Technicians, and Office Staff have always been professional, very courteous and timely! I have done business with Sam before in the past. He is a awesome person to work with and is also very helpful. We came in and he got us the deal we wanted. I purchased my new Civic LX AUTO on 4/10/10 through Commonwealth Motors in Lawrence. I have done an extensive research about what car I want and what I expect from the dealership. After getting multiple quotes from the different dealers in my area I decided to go with Commonwealth Honda as they absolutely met my expectation. From the moment I got in touch with them for the first time I felt being heard and listened to. I never felt being pressured and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner via email or over the phone. Joe Gerbino (Business manager) and Mike Simon as a sales rep were wonderful to provide me with any information I had requested. After they answered all of my questions (including pricing) I went to the dealership to test drive the car. I was greeted by Joe who then introduced me to Mike. Mike showed me the car, answered my questions/concerns and we went for the test drive. During the test drive I like to concentrate on a driving not on the conversation. Mike sensed that and didn't try to engage the conversation unless I asked him a question. Mike was right on the money by allowing me to ""feel"" the car. Once we got back Mike went through all the pricing and I presented my findings. We both found the common ground without hassle, without being 'double"" teamed up...it felt very good that I can express my thoughts and what I want and actually being listened to. Every single step of the way Mike was there making sure I receive absolute attention. Once the price was set up financing part came up. I got approved for what I wanted (1.9%). In total I spent about couple of hours in this wonderful and friendly dealership feeling very good about the entire process. Once I notified my insurance company I came back on Monday (4/12) to pick up my car which was ready and waiting for me. I met Mike again who, once again, answered additional questions that I had. He also showed me the service department and explained everything I needed to know. The service dep. seemed to be very neat and tightly organized. Everyone seemed to know what they are doing. No staff wondering around doing nothing...I was impressed. Cleanliness was very impressive considering that it is a service department and a lot of things can be going on at the same time. Overall, excellent experience and I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership to everyone who is on the market for a new Honda. after walking off the lot at lannan chevrolet due to the lack of salsmen eager to make a sale i d rove to commonwealth motors. i walked the lot and found exactly what i was looking for.chevy 2500hd LTZ in the exact color and with all the options i wanted. i couldnt believe it. it was like i ordered it from gm.. this is the second truck ive purchased from them and i saved an incredible amount off the sticker.. before i even got to the showroom i was approached by a great sales man who immediatly offered a test drive. they have great coustomer service and even better deals so get down there and ring the bell. I went to Commonwealth Honda to look at some new Hondas and found this dealership to be on top of everything! Franklyn(my salesperson) was very helpful and made the experience a great one.
