I had been looking for a new car. I visited a number of dealers; I called each dealer beforehand. Most would not discuss what sort of deal they could be willing to make up front. I called up Commonwealth Motors and talked to a gentleman named Craig ( or is it Greg) Clarke, who told me the absolute lowest price they would be willing to offer me. I was surprised to find that the cost was less than the at cost price you see at most online research websites for the trim of the vehicle I purchased ( Honda Civic 4 dr Sedan, auto, VP).
To my surprise I did not complete the deal with Clarke, but with a salesperson, Luis Cruz. Luis was probably not to happy that I had gotten a quote for that specific trim from Clarke, but I think it's the separation of the Salesperson that allowed me to negotiate a deal that I was happy with in the end. Luis helped with the sale of course, taking me for a test drive and answering my questions regarding maintenance. Hopefully I will not have to purchase another car soon, but the next time I do so I will give commonwealth motors serious consideration, if they remain upfront about how much they'll charge for a vehicle. I've had my car for just over a month, and I'm completely satisfied!
