Comcast is Expensive but Great service 4/15/2006

The thing is with comcast it's rediciously high prices just for internet make me turn away. But they do give higher speeds than DSL by x2 or even 3 and their service is nearly in real time. But the idea of having super fast internet just for downloading or gaming or even schoolwork is strange. DSL can cover that easily which is what I use with Verizon. I haven't heard any complaints from my friends who use it and are avid gamers seeking as high as possible data rates. Other than that, I heard that their TV service isn't so great typically. more

Cable, phone, and internet 4/14/2006

I have Comcast for cable phone and internet access and I am very pleased with the package price of these three services. If I were to purchase these individually, I would end up paying a lot more. We had Verizon for DSL internet connection before Comcast and the customer service reps were such jerks on the phone we happily switched. We will probably never go back to Verizon. Anyway, so far so good with this provider. more

I just had a great experience with Comcast customer service. I contacted them to downgrade my cable services, since I realized I am paying for a lot of extra services I do not use. The customer service rep that was helping me was great, he was very patient in explaining the different products and prices, and suggesting ways to combine services and products to save me money. I did not feel pressured to rush into any decisions or to buy any of the upsell items like Digital Phone. I had a few "dumb" questions but the representative was very thorough and helpful, and never once was patronizing or aggravated that I asked a question that had probobly been asked a thousand times before. My wait time for live help was only seconds. I'm aware that the cable company has tough competition from the satellite companies but they really are doing a good job in trying to please and maintain their current customers. more
