Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital

We have used CCVH for over fourteen years. The care we have received for our pets has always been excellent. We were glad they were there in an emergency, understanding there was a higher cost for the service. The doctors were always caring and we never felt rushed. When the need came to make hard decisions they guided us gently. The procedure of putting our pets to sleep was well thought out and helped ease our pain. We highly recommend this hospital. more

I have used this veterinary facility several times for emergencies because it is located so close to my home. Everyone has always been helpful and professional. The cost seems to be in line with what other facilities are charging for similar services. more

I have used CCVH for almost 2 years now. Generally friendly, I have come to realize that these people are driven primarily by their love of profits --and not your pet's heath and well-being. If your pet has an emergency, they will squeeze you in--but, oh boy, do they then squeeze your pocket book too! Even when you have a pre-set appointment with them, be prepared to wait for upto an hour-- for a visit that will then last no longer than 10-15 minutes (this has happened to me every time). They hate it if you want the convenience of buying the required monthly pet medications on-line for a fraction of the price they charge for you to go and pick it up there! And if the medication you're buying on-line requires a vet's prescription (a simple matter), they will drive you crazy--so, plan in advance if you plan to NOT buy from them the regular stuff. Know you pet laws--go to: the New Jersey State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners web site, and do your research. You should also check out other vet prices and services in your area, and see how they compare with CCVH, because the chances are that, that will save you money, time-- and your sanity! more

Our dog was taken to this hospital after she was hit by a car. Although her injuries were too severe and she had to be put to sleep I can't thank the doctor enough for all of his efforts to try and save her. He wouldn't give up until the very end and he made her as comforatable as he possibly could. we will be forever grateful for his kindness and his compassion for an animal whom he never knew. more

I am the friend the other reviewer spoke of and she was right on the money! I have no reservations baout saying that they saved my cat's life. I was freaking and they calmed me down and gave me the whole story when i asked about her condition. Dr. Ahmed is so compassionate and actually took the time to come to the phone when i called. He didn't just give the info to a secretary. I can't say enough about this place! I even took them a pizza party at the follow up visit because I was so happy. more

My best friend Michelle came home from work one day and found her cat in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor. She quick wrapped her in a towel and took her down the street to Columbus Veterinary hosp. The doctor here was fabulous because at first they didn't expect the cat -Disney - to make it. He gave Disney recieved excellent care- Disney needed IVs, medicine, blood, etc. The communication here was also appreciated. This hospital has tehs that stay over night and when Michelle called to check the status of her cat- all her concerns were addressed and it made her rest much easier. So a big Thank You to the best Veterniary hospitla around!!! more

We took our dog there for an emergency visit as he was having seizures and our vet was not available. They also said he herniated a disc in his back from the seizures and had some other disease. They had him on so much medication the poor thing was vomitting blood and passing blood in his stool. I would not recommend them at all. When we took him to another vet on a family member's recommendation they said he did not have a herniated disc and did not have whatever the disease was that he had and his only problem was the siezures. more

This is where we take my cat. They are a very experienced and friendly staff. I have never had to wait long for my cat to be seen. There is a tv in the lobby. They also have kennels and emergency services. I can't give it 5 stars only because we've never had any serious issues to depend on them for their help. more
