The club is the place to be on Friday nites. I greatly recommend this spot for the individual who is open to the wide mixture of races and faces. Love the scene and the venue.

Worst

I had signed up for the guestlist, but when I got there they said I wasn't on it. So I had to go home and print up the email confirmation they sent me, then drive all the way back...

i went with a few friends and the place is really not what i had expected. the promoters need to have better music and prettier girls. the bouncers need to stop the fights rather than letting it progress. it is very expensive for what it is worth. if i were you, i would try to go somewhere else. also the promoters are very dishonest and lie to cover their mistakes as in getting on a guestlist. how can someone make up a story about why my friends were knocked off the guestlist because of some "computer error" on our end. also be prepared to dance with little children even though it is 21 and over. for the money go elsewhere. the place needs a little more class, order, and probably new management. thanks more

crappy place... go to another 9/8/2007

the music is crappy and too many immature kids. bouncers let the drunk immature kids (usually friends of the promoters) run around picking fights with people. it is really sad. avoid this place at all costs. you can find a better place elsewhere. the price of the drinks are relatively high, but it is san francisco. cleanliness is not high in this club either. more

Great customer service 8/4/2007

I went there lastnite and it was kool....but the bad thing is that i couldn't get in there because they said is 21 & up...in the computer doesn't say that. They need to make sure they know their information well. But yeah it seemed like a nice place to take your stress out. They were heka people there. And i could hear the latinos music....la salsa. Hopefully i could get a change to go in there.peace out. more

Fridays is the Hip-Hop and Rap nights that is relaxing, the crowd is a great mixture. 11/30/2006

The club is not the best one I have been to, but you are sure to have a good time. The clubbers are usually more toward the latino side. Upstairs is the salsa room and the main floor is hip hop. Pros: latino crowd more

Good luck w/ the guest list 10/17/2004

Echoing some of what was already mentioned, my group had a problem with the guest list. Arrived with a fairly large group (14 ppl) which most of us signed up for the guest list on sfclubs.com. Once we got to the front of the line, none of us were on the list. The guy working the door basically said we'd need our confirmation emails to get in. Our group (which was about half of the line) all got ready to leave and they decided to let us in... which was a nice gesture. Once inside, the layout was really nice. Played really good hip-hop music. The other con was extremely sloooooooow service at the bar. It was almost pathetic. I'm a guy, so maybe that was a disadvantage because it seemed women got served a little sooner... but still very slow. Bars were definitely understaffed. Pros: Good Music Cons: , Service more

your average club 10/9/2004

they've done a lot of modifications to the club recently which makes it a little cooler than most other clubs around town, but all in all, this is your average san francisco club - slightly on the upscale side, but not really. friday nights are always hip hop, so you can always bank on a decent crowd for fridays at NV. sometimes, they are a little on the "ghetto" side, though. the parent company likes to turnover their bartenders so you never can get good service from the same bartender. most often than not, the bartenders are lagging and can't get the drinks out fast enough Pros: newly decorated, good hip hop music Cons: , slow service more

Even if you are on the guest list, there's still a good chance that you'll end up paying the admission after a long wait in line. The only other drawback is that it can get pretty crowded and the one area you can get fresh air is packed with smokers. Aside from this, the music, drinks, and atmoshere is pretty cool. well its been a while since i have been here but i know that when i ddi go...it was fun....they had hottttt guys there...and good music...the only bad thing that i could see was that it did get overly crowded after awhile but all in all it was good. Pros: hott guys Cons: crowded more

Mixed feelings 8/16/2003

I had signed up for the guestlist, but when I got there they said I wasn't on it. So I had to go home and print up the email confirmation they sent me, then drive all the way back the club. Nobody was dancing till really late in the night. Looks like the crowd was there to just look pretty. To top it off the music wasn't that great, even if you are drunk. Drinks are pricey, but the bartenders are nice and lively. It's worth going if you get in free on the guestlist Pros: Nice layout Cons: Crappy guestlist more

Club NV 8/9/2003

I think that NV is a very nice club! The cover charge is kinda expensive but all you have to do is put yourself on the guest list and you get in free, just make sure you are there before 11:00pm. anyways Ive been there many times and I have always had a good time and was treated great. more

Dishonest + expensive = go elsewhere 5/10/2003

Promoters are dishonest about guestlist so you'll have to wait in line for 1h just for fun. Then the cover is far too expensive for this simple club. Once inside, the place is ok, but you'll have already been robbed. Basically, you should go elsewhere for a guaranteed good clubbing experience. There is simply no way to justify spending money at this place run by amateurs. I know I'll never return. more

Know the Promoters 4/30/2003

NV is a great club with upstairs & down stairs dance floors. Promoters try to get the best dj's for this cluz since it is so big, like SBC it is mostly a asian club, but you have to know which promoters are throwing the party there, if you go to there web site or get a flyer you can usually go to the promoters site & get on the guest list for free, people still actually pay to get in clubs??? 25 bux what in the world... 4/20/2003

It cost 25 dollars to get into this place. the only place worth paying 20 bux for is Ruby Skye. the crowd was small for a saturday nite probably becuz the cover charge was so much. the crowd was kinda stuck up to a bit. even though i wasn't paying much attention to that becuz i had ladies with me. if the cover is less i will definately go back because the music was great. its just not worth the 25 dollar cover. the hip hop room was awesome. the house/trance room really sucked. Nothing to NV 3/2/2003

The odor in the place was not pleasant to the nose, the service was less then friendly and the crowd was a bit pretentious. If you want to dance and don't care about anything but the dancefloor and the music, then this is your kind of place. Pros: Multiple bathrooms Cons: No parking, Atmosphere more

Not worth the cover charge and time 12/21/2002

This club was not worth wasting a Friday night and definitely not worth the $20 and time. The music was cool, but the crowd was GHETTO. The crowd was not diverse and everbody there had attitude. I would never come back to this club- not even if I was on the guest list. more

nasty attitude and bad communication 12/21/2002

my group of 17 friends were supposed to be on the guest list for this venue for my friend's birthday. we arrived 15 minutes before the guest list was to close, but due to slow service, we did not make the guest list in time and were asked to pay 20 dollars cover. after explaining the situation, we were told that we were going to be compensated, but then were given the run around. so we left. their "cooler-than-thou" attitude was a turn off, and made me wonder what was even so great about a bar where the promoters don't even want patrons to go. i will never go back there. it's not worth it. If you are looking for a cool Asian Club, various promotors have their parties at NV. This venue is spacious and trendy. Music is great on Saturdays! Pros: spacious, great music, great Asian crowd Cons: drinks can be strong, party starts late more
